is is a bad thing? my mom found a black dress she loves- ready to tell her to get is, but ishould i be pushing her toward different colors?

When i do things that people say are bad luck for the wedding i say
if this is going to ruin our wedding then so be it.. a color a ring a style shouldnt ruin your wedding00

same here... half these rules I see girls posting about on here I have never even heard of before! if you're mom is more comfortable in a black dress and it makes her happy, I say let her wear it.

sorry to crash...both my mom and MIL wore black to my wedding. MY bms were in black and white and it looked great!!! See my albums for example. We used bright flowers to brighten everything up.

To be honest, I'm not personally a fan. And while I'm sure there are some people who feel the way I do, I don't think it's socially unacceptable anymore. So, while I'm not a fan, I'm not going to whisper behind your back and doom your marriage because the mom's wore black. I think that's super old school to feel that way.

I can't see why not. My BMs are in black.... in May.... ::GASP::! My momma pointed out this gorgeous steel grey/platinum color when we went to pick up the BM dresses. It was so gorgeous! I loved it!

Honestly it isnt bad at all. If I saw that at a wedding I wouldnt think anytthing of it.
with that said, I know my mom and FMIL are anti black for everything in wedding, invites etc I also have a similar taste but thats just my own personal taste.
