if you want realllllly nice evening dresses (without all those sequins that scream MOB) with some sparkle and detail go to Isles Fashions in East Norwich. My mom got recommended here by a friend and we had already been to a few other stores...we went to Paradise in patchogue but i found these dresses were so much nicer and not necessarily that more expensive. we went there and were just floored by the beautiful dresses they had!! so tasteful too!! THey are a little greek family run shop...awesome service too!!

DO NOT go to the wedding plaza. I had the WORST experience with them. Carmella (the head seamstress) is rude and unprofessional. I had to go back for fittings five times (for very minor alterations on length and bust). I was supposed to take the dress home the week before my wedding and when I went in she had NOTHING done and tried to make up an excuse that this was just another fitting (even though she told me at the last fitting that it would be ready).

On the last fitting, 2 days before my wedding, the bustle was done incorrectly because she had rushed though it. Needless to say, I had no time left and the bustle was all wrong. It wasn't even a French bustle and it came out the whole time i was dancing at my wedding. It looks terrible in the pictures, you can see the whole layer of fabric hanging out under the lace of my dress.

The owner is no help at all.

And the clincher is that you have to pay for everything in cash. So of they offer you a price on a dress try to negotiate more money off because you will be paying them in huge lump sums of moola. I don't know about you but I certainly don't feel comfortable carrying around $1000 in cash at a time.


I don't mean to be a downer and I loved all of my other vendors (review to come) but I was really upset with the Wedding Plaza and the total disregard I was treated with.

Please go somewhere else!

My mom has had good luck at Paradise and at Bridal Suite in Huntington and centereach. Still hasnt picked the dress though. She's pickier than me as it turns out
