Modern RH Help

Sorry to crash on your board girls but I need some help, and sometimes the BHB doesnt give as many responces soooo.....

A friend of mine just got engaged and is looking for a RH. Can you girls give me some ideas of places based on her description below? TIA!!!!

'Do you know of any wedding reception locations that are not 'typical.' What i mean is no huge chandellers (probably spelled wrong), mirrors, heavy drapes, flowers, yadday yadda yadda. I'm looking for more of a modern kind of place without spending $200 a person.'

Thanks again!!!!

Has she thought about any art galleries? I know that is starting to be a trend nowadays and would be very modern!

She wants the 'reception hall' package meaning linens and catering and alcohol to be there already.....just not someplace so 'weddingish' i think.

Re: Modern RH Help

The Metropolitan has a club atmosphere (and they have a separate building that's even more 'club like'). I thought it was nice, just not me.

Re: Modern RH Help

Bourne Mansion in Oakdale is more like an estate and doesnt have many of the elements she dislikes.... But linens and catering, etc is included
