Im going to pee my pants im laughing so hard withthisring. My sister hates the dress i picked out. she hates the color more......she is doing it anyway for me, because its my wedding and she love me. Tell your sister 'oh you dont want to wear that? okay, I'm sorry, I'll ask someone else. I'm really dissapointed you wont wear it for me though, but I understand. I'll ask so-in-so.' bet she changes her tune.

Re: MOH
I really don't know what she wants to wear. She insistes on going to a department store and buying an outfit. I have 5 other people in my bridal party...won't it look strange? Honestly, I was planning on picking a color and doing separtares so everyone can pick a style that flatters them...ugh!

Re: MOH
I know this is going to sound stupid, but have you sat down and had a 'Sisterly' talk with her?? My sister didnt klike the dress I picked out, she thought it was frumpy-- but didnt complain.. (I thought it was better than the CORAL dress she made me wear when I was 14 and in her BP!!! ) Just sit down over a cup of tea or a lunch and tell her...
You know SIS, this is my special day, and I ALWAYS dreamt it would be.. blahblahblah... And that I would wear... blahblahblah.. and the day that you and I could go dress shopping for the both of us... and my bridal party would carry beautiful flowers and Blahblahblah... ETC...
If she doesnt respond, then tell her that you really wish she would just appease you, its only for one day, and it means a lot to you. There are MANY different pieces to seperates out there... Ask her to be more open minded!!
Your MOH should understand what being YOUR MOH for YOUR wedding means....
Maybe ask her to meet you half way, since she is the MOH she can be slightly different then the other girls ... maybe her DRESS can be made a bit differently and not shiney material, and once you agree on a dress tell her to have to customized made (since shes flipping the bill)
I would also suggest to get all the girls together and openly discuss what dresses you like maybe the open discussion w the others will show her that she should be more accomodating...if you can confide in one of the others to help convince her that she should wear a dress and of ALL of HER responsiblities...
Good Luck

Re: MOH
Fortunately for BM's, BM dresses are NOT like they used to be and most Brides today are very considerate in chosing dresses. I would explain to her that it is YOUR wedding and it is just ONE day that you're asking her to wear a dress. If it is seriously going to kill her and make her (and you) miserable you'll understand if she has to step down as MOH....put the ball in her court.
Good luck and sorry you have to deal with that!
