'MOH' drama update (kinda long)
So some of you may remember that I had never asked my sister to be my 'MOH' and it was assumed by her and my mother all though I am not really close to her anymore and didn't really know if I wanted her to be my MOH b/c she showed no interest in being one.
Well, I found out that this past Sunday her and my mom went looking at MOH/BM dresses w/out telling me and she found a dress that she loved. The night B4 last (3days later) I called my cousin (who I want to be my MOH but she doesn't know that yet) and she told me about the dress and the shopping trip!!!! I let this sit in my head for a while and yesterday afternoonI asked my sister why she didn't tell me she was going to look at dresses or even why she didn't tell me she saw one she liked? Got no answer. I then asked if she even wanted to be my MOH, as suggested by many of you, and she said 'yes, but I have no interest in something that is more than 6 months away' (meaning my wedding). This doesn't make sense to me b/c obviously she just went dress shopping for this wedding w/out telling me. And what about any help I may need before the '6month mark?'
The argument escalates and she mentions how she hates my FH and how I've 'changed since I met him'. I was pissed b/c she met her BF the same time and in my opion (and my families) she's the one who changed (but that's another story).
Needless to say, I told her that she hasn't acted like a sister in a long time and not even as a friend and in my opion she takes for granted that I'm her sister. I told her she still has the option of being a BM if she wants to.
I didn't tell her however, and I'm not sure if I should.. that if she straightens out I wouldn't mind having 2 MOH's (her and my cousin -- another suggestion from you guys.)
I don't know if she will want to be in my wedding party at this point, but if she does or doesn't , that is her choice and I am fine with either decision she makes. As for the dress she loves, I told all my BM's they can get any dress by this specific designer as long as it was in 'spice' color so I don't feel bad b/c she can still wear that dress either way.
I want to thank you guys for your advice in the past b/c I'm 100% sure this argument could have been a lot worse if I didn't have certain questions and ideas in my head first to try to be political, at least in the beginning, about what happened.
