MOH Guidance....

MOH Guidance....

My MOH has never been in a bridal party and has told me that she has no clue of her 'duties'...We are very close friends so I don't feel awkward, but I don't want to PLAN for her..like force her to do things a certain way because I want surprises and am totally open to anything really.

Is there any way to tell her things she should do as the MOH?

It's feels kinda weird to be like, 'Okay well you need to help my mother organize a bridal shower for me..and you need to plan to -email the girls about a bachelorette party and collect money for a possible gift for me and FH from the BM's'.....I know she wouldn't CARE, but I don't want to feel like I'm demanding anything, b/c if she didn't end up doing any of the above- I probably wouldn't even care lol.....

So any suggestions or proper ettiquite for this?
(I could be WAY over thinking this whole thing too)

I have the same prob, except MOH is family. Can you have your Mom email her. Get the ball rolling that way. Your Mom could say we need to start talking about the shower, etc. etc.?

There is a section on the Knot.com that is for the maid of honor maybe you could email her the link.

My MOH checks the knot all the time and I also bought her a book. She's familiar with weddings but she wanted to make sure she didn't miss anything

Why don't you refer her to a site that gives guidance (google it, I've found some before) or buy her a book . . . . I got the groom a 'how to' book for grooms, and they had MOH's too. Got it at Barnes and Noble.
