I like the idea of my BM in champagne and my MOH in wine my florist is having the flowers comp. each other with just cream and deep red roses She is giving me grief about being diff. She is a tall slim woman and I think that she would look soo stunning in that color. what do you think about the colors? Should I buckle and let her change her dress color?

I think the color combination is great! IMO if that is what you want your MOH should respect that. This is YOUR wedding not hers. Every wedding i've been in, the bride has had the last say in what we wore and being that it was their wedding i've never given them a hard time- just go with the flow.

I had the same problem the opposite way. My MOH demanded to be different when I wanted them to be the same. I decided to let her have a different dress but it had to be in the same color. Lo and behold she picks a dress that is different and ALSO a different color by a couple of shaldes. I wanted coral she chose melon. I could have flipped out. I decided I dod not want a sour faced MOH or bm on my wedding day so I did not bother to get all in a tiff about it. They will all have the same bouquet because I want some kind of uniformity. I say buckle and let her be comfortable that day. NOt worth the stress at least you can be done with the whole thing

i can't post a pic of it can you ladies help me the dresses are by bill levkoff and the MOH style # is 354 in wine and the BM are 405 in champagne the pic of the champagne is bright the dress is actually a little darker.

What about doing it in reverse? You could have the BMs in wine and your MOH in champagne...

I thought about that too but it is a summer wedding and I didn't want it to be too dark. I have seen her in that color and she is soo pretty in it. she will look like a super model.

Thank you jvs77 those ARE the dresses would you believe I just changed the BM dress to #356 I think that they will match with the MOH (the top one better) I have been trying to post the pic but I don't know how. The BM is a halter which I think would be a little better because 2 have a big chest

Here's the new dress. (Another pretty one! I think my girls will be wearing Bill Levkoff too. His dresses are so gorgeous!)
Normally, to attach a file you would just need to save it somewhere on your computer and then click on 'browse' when you post and then select the image to attach it. (It needs to be less than 60 kbs)
Bill Levkoff's site is all done in Flash, so there are no individual images that you can save. What I did was hit 'print screen' on my keyboard and then pasted the image into a new file in Photoshop. I then cropped it and saved it as a jpeg to attach.
ETA: To save the pictures that I posted here just right click on it and select 'save picture as' - then you can save it where ever you like on your computer!

I think the dresses are beautiful and that they compliment each other well. But I can see where she's coming from since her dress is really dark compared to you and the other girls.

Have a heart to heart talk with her...my MOH acted crazy as well although she is my best friend and we're tight with one another...I actually kicked her out of my wedding and told her off (this was during the holidays)...sometimes you have to have that conversation...weddings are nerve wracking everyone has an opinion, but they only want the best for you but don't know how to express it...trust me if took almost a month for my MOH to come to her senses....she is going through seperation and divorce and moved to another state....but our friendship is what allowed us to talk about it....she's back in the wedding! my motto:NO ONE WILL RUIN MY DAY WHETHER FAMILY OR FRIEND!

I know that her dress would be dark, however The flowers are going to be light for her. and it will be vice versa for the BM in the Champagne. I think that I want the girls in the halter so that she will be the only one besides me in a strapless.

Thanks charlotte. I would never put her in something that I didn't think she would look lovely in. Even my mom said yes leave it she will be fine. All through her growing up she was singled out because of her height. But I think it is time to get over it and show everyone that YES i am tall but I am stunning now EAT YOUR HEART OUT. Hey I just noticed that we are getting married on the same day
