MOH issues!

MOH issues!

So I vented about this before but just a little history.
My MOH and I have been friends for over 12 yrs. Since JHS. She is a wonderful friend, however she is the type of girl that doesnt know how to act when she has a boyfriend. The type that dissapers off the face of the earth and the type you call at 11am and calls you back at 8pm, if she even calls back. She is now in a serious relationship with a nice guy for almost 2 yrs.

She has been wishy washi with the wedding stuff. I picked her to be MOH because I figured with so much crap there is to do for the wedding, this would give us a chance to 'bond' again. In the begining it was great, email back and forth, we talked alot, and not just about the wedding. I'd call just to see how she was doing, how her mom, her boyfriend, college, work, etc. She's also gone out of her way and bought me things like the ring pillow, some candels I needed and other things.

Since a few months back, she barely answers my calls, I text her nothing, I email her and she emails me a week later. I tried talking to her about it and she acted like I was imagining things. It is now the end of May, my wedding is in Auugust, she hasnt made time to talk to me about a bridal shower, she hasnt bother to get addresses of my guests, she hasnt even gone with me to look at dresses for the bridal party.

I dont know what to do with her! Advise?

Sorry you are going through this, if you have tried reaching out to her and it hasnt worked maybe you can send her an email letting her know your expectations and your fears about her unresponsiveness. Do you have other BM's I would speak to someone else and put them in charge of the shower, this way if your MOH wants to be involved at least she can still help out but you don't have to depend solely on her.

I would also try to meet up with her face to face to discuss your concerns and how your feeling. Sometimes alot of the meaning can get lost over email or phone. Plus meeting up in person would also show her how important this is to you.

Hopefully she comes around

you have to talk to her about everything, your feelings, the expectations you have for her, like you want her help and input on picking the dresses, and the shower....

how many BMs do you have?? can you call upon them to step it up she really doesnt come through??

Re: MOH issues!

Thanks girls.

I tried emailing her about my 'fears' with her flakiness and didnt write about the wedding, I just wrote about what a sucky friends she's been. I dint want her to think it was just about the wedding. I wanted her to see how important the friendship really is. But that got me a 'you're crazy. You know I dont do it to hurt you, thats just the way I am.' but actually thats not, its only the way she is when she got a boyfriend.

I will try one last time. next weekend I am going to Rk bridal in search of bridesmaid dresses and will invite her and if she comes I will have a face to face with her.

Thanks

RadiantBride....I went to your page. I am almost sure I know you from somewhere! Did you go to highschool in Queens? What college.... your face looks sooo familiar!
