MOH question

How many of you are having a slightly different dress for your MOH than your BM's?
Would it be okay to have the same dress and say a different color (shade lighter or darker etc?)
What would make people know who my MOH is?
Is the bok different?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but Im dumb when it comes to wedding planning.....which is why Im always here getting your advice

Re: MOH question

All my dresses are the same for my BM and MOH, but my BM flowers will be ivory roses and my MOH will have red and ivory roses in her Bo-Q.

Re: MOH question

First off you can do whatever you want...

You can have same dress different color-- which is what I had when I was the MOH at my ssiters wedding. My rose color on my Bok was different color to mathc the dress

or
You can have same color different dress.. another one I had when I was MOH at my best friends wedding - had the same Bok

or you can have different color different dress-- My MOH is having a different dress and a slightly different color since seh chose a different designer. Its a little off.... My siste is having a different Bok-- all white flowers with three blue roses. the roses symbolize me, my sister and my mom who passed when we were kids.

Re: MOH question

My MOH had the same dress as the others - she just had a larger bo-k

There is no right or wrong - everyone will know who your MOH is anyway...

Re: MOH question

my MOH's dress will be strapless, where everyone else's dress will have straps - and her bo-k will be larger than the other girls'.

Re: MOH question

My MOH wore a totally different dress. Different dress, different color.
The pink matched the color of the sash in the BM dresses, so it coordinated with them. She is older than my BM and didn't feel comfortable in the same dress. I gave her the choice of wearing the green or the pink. It looked fine. I was more concerned with her feeling comfortable and beautiful in what she was wearing than matching everyone else.

Her dress color was actually the same as the FG's

My MOH will have the same dress, but her bouquet will be a little larger, and have trailing ribbons...

Plus she will have a bracelet to complement the jewelry she and the other girls will all be wearing...

I'm on the fence ... either all will be the same or MOH will have same dress, but a different color sash.

Re: MOH question

My MOH will have a different dress and different color than my BMs. It's your wedding so it's your rules- do whatever you like best!!!!!

Actually, one of my BMs will wear a different dress- my cousin, who I feel is a step above the BMs anyway, is giving birth 3 weeks before the wedding. The BM dress is not really accomodating for that, so she's wearing the same dress as my MOH but in the same color as the BM. I think it'll be a nice transition as everyone's walking down, plus, everyone is still connected in some way.

Re: MOH question

I am trying to make my MOH different. Jordan has separates so I am thinking of having everyone wear strapless tops and my sister will wear a mermaid skirt and the girls can wear A-line.

Re: MOH question

I am not sure if her dress will vary from the other BM's yet but I am getting her a special bouquet. Hers will be larger and have orchids in addition to what the BM's will be having.

You can do whatever you want.....most of the weddings I have seen/been in....the MOH had a slightly different dress and the same bo-k....or a different bo-k *but still in the same family* and the same dress....but you are welcome to mix and match everything or nothing however you would like

Re: MOH question

My bms and MOH dresses are all the same. I am having the MOH walk down the aisle by herself and the rest will walk down with a groomsman.

Re: MOH question

My MOH will wear the same dress in a different color. The bridesmaids are wearing Berry and MOH will be in Peony. Sounds like a weird combo, but it actually looks nice together. She'll also have the same flowers as the bridesmaids, but the florist is also including some berries in her bouquet because it'll also be in my bouquet.
