mine hasnt asked me a darn thing ! i understand she has a newborn ( 5 months), but she doesnt work nor does she leave her house much.
i just feel like i made a huge mistake she was so excited in the beginning especially since i helped plan her baby shower for her ... i feel like there isnt going to be anything special for me
i know i sound selfish ...but i was torn between two friends and now i know i shouldve chosen the other one!

Re: MOH question
sorry you feel that way...my MOH is very helpful and always asking questions, shes been asking me dozens of questions about my bridal shower and its so far away...She always offers if i need help with anything and has been great.
Maybe speak to her about how you feel, she might not realize what she is doing

Re: MOH question
Mine is not really involved. It my aunt, my mom sister. My mom has been helping me with everything. I have been going to look at vendor with my fiance alot too. I guess when we go look at dress and stuff it will be different. I know that her and my mom will plan my shower.

Re: MOH question
My MoH has two small children and works full time- her husband also works full time. She is super excited and is helping every way she can but I understand that she can't do everything.. worst of all our schedules conflict too much most of the time till the summer. But I wouldn't have anyone else as my MoH except her. My bridesmaids are excited as well but one lives OOT and can't help much but the other is really excited and helpful.

Re: MOH question
my MOH is very involved BUT if you have a BM who is enthusiastic - there is no reason that she cant help you out!! I was my MOH's BM ( got it?) and I definitely helped her more than her OWN MOH. . .

that's a little excessive...
My MOH is my sister - she's 17 and could care less.
My BP isn't involved at all... I thought it was normal. It doesn't bother me. As long as they show up I'm OK.

Re: MOH question
My sis is SUPER involved (who is my MOH) and I am very lucky because when it was her turn (and getting married was the last thing on my mind) i don't think I was that into the whole wedding and MOH thing. If it weren't for her though, i'd be planning all by my lonesome!!!

Re: MOH question
I haven't picked out my MOH yet because I'm afraid that in a few months my feelings may change...so I'm not going to ask until 6 months before the date...hoepfully not too much changes after that!
I would expect her to at the very least be interested in what's going on..but I guess you can't expect everyone to be excited for you
Hope things get better for you!

I'm doing the same thing!! We haven't asked ANYONE yet! It's so much easier this way since I'm a control freak!

Re: MOH question
That is tough when the MOH isnt involved. My sister is my MOH and we are best friends. I have been in weddings where the MOH didnt help with any planning, where us bridesmaids were doing everything. I understand sometimes girls dont want to choose between friends and make others angry...At the same time if your friend feels like she cant complete her duties, maybe you guys should really sit down and discuss it. Your wedding is about you, and all involved should take part and be honored.
