MOH QUestion...help

MOH QUestion...help

My MOH has been wonderful. She's in touch w/ the other girls, been very easy to work with and is starting all the shower arrangements (she & the bp are paying for the shower).

All along my mom thought she should be in a separate dress (she is also my sis in law--bro's wife). Along the way I came to agree, I want her distinguished (besides her bo-k). We decided against another color dress or alternate dress. Well Phyllis (who's wonderful) said she could make a train on the back of her dress in same material & add some beading to the top of the dress (about $100). Is it up to me to pay for those changes?

Thanks ladies.

Ooo... tough one. I would say, maybe offer to pay half. Is the dress itself already expensive? If so, then you might want to offer some money towards it. If not, maybe your MOH can swing it herself.

I agree, if the dress was already $$$, then offer to pay half. maybe let her pick her own shoes, too.

Cindy, if you could swing it, I think you should, basically b/c you picked a dress to distinguish her and all of her hard work, but in the end, you will just be adding another $100 for her to pick up. Bet. you and your mom, you felt she should be bestowed the honor, but I imagine not the additional burden.

HTH. the dress sounds lovely.

Sorry, I might be the minority here, but I don't think you should have to pay for it. If you can - that would be a really nice gesture.

A few of my BM's had to pay extra for a few things - extra panel to the dress when she gained weight, cups sewn in, and a few other changes - nothing more than $90. Each one paid for it, and I will make sure to take care of them with their gifts.

Unless she is the one that asked for it, I think you should pay for it.

Did your MOH say anything about the additional charge, or does she not know of it yet?

Previously as an MOH, I knew that I was going to be distinguished dress-wise, so I knew I would probably incur more cost for it and I was fine with it. I feel like you shouldn't have to pay it, but the gesture is nice if you can.

Well I spoke to MOH & she said w/o seeing what the final product will look like, she'd just as well just go with the beading on the front. I tend to agree & I'll definitely pick up the cost for that...

Thanks ladies (all along she said she'd do whatever I wanted, but she didn't care if she was distinguished or not)....
