ok so im a Maid of honor in a VERY good friends wedding....can anyone help w/ a toast? i know it should be from the heart and how I feel for her. i can do that. But i was hoping to see samples so i can get ideas and add from there. Any ideas where i can do that or get it from? Any1 ever do it? im so lost, i write and write and it just isnt what i have in mind! please help me!

Went to a wedding recently and it was a funny speech. She talked about anecdotes from their past. It was one of the best speeches I have ever seen. Good luck!

just google wedding toasts and you can steal so much stuff off online vows. thats what i did when i was a moh

I barely remember anything but those that actually struck a cord.
At my wedding, my MOH (my sister) started her speech by rolling out a roll of toilet paper that it was written on. (I was known in college for my use of TP, but I won't go further. OH! I met my DH in college) Then she got serious.
In my friend's wedding recently, the MOH (the best friend) discussed what was on the registry. She briefly mentioned the normal pots and pans. Then she talked about the pillows and artwork on the registry. (My friend was known for her wild side) Then the MOH asked 'when did you become your mother?' That brought the house down. Then she got serious. (the artwork and pillows had specific quotes that you wouldn't expect from our friend.)
With both of these speeches it was tailored for the bride. (Which it should be for the MOH) But they also turned toward the groom and said a few nice blah blah things. So always remember the groom, even if it's just for a line. You never want to only talk about the bride. At least bring the groom in at the last minute. Never go over 2 minutes!
