MY MOH is going thru a tough time right now and I'm still going thru a lot of things that she normally would be helping me with, but now may not, b/c she is overwhelmed and rough break-up with boyfriend of 3 1/2 yrs...What am I supposed to do with wedding plans and her .,,,is it rude to ask her (include her in normal planning)? As a friend I'm there for her and I know she's always there for me, but maybe this will be too much for her to handle right now?! Any advice, anyone?

I think you should still include her unless she doesnt want to for a while. Ask her honestly how she feels, maybe she needs to keep busy to keep her mind off of things.

Thats what I want to do, I just don't want her to feel horrible, bc she thought they'd be next to get married and she could plan a wedding, but things just aren't looking that way for them. Thanks for the word of advice ;)~ I'm hoping she'll find a way to have fun in this, as we have been so far :)

Re: M.O.H trouble
Yeah, I know it could go either way. When my best friend got married, I had just broken up with my boyfriend at the time but I was still happy for my friend. I put it aside and helped her and it really helped me get through it. I went shopping with her all the time and it kept my mind off of it and it was fun. On the other hand, I have a cousin in my wedding party that has had bad luck in the guy department and she is kind of bitter and never offers to come and wont get back to my sister if she is coming to the bachelorette party. I hope your friend still wants to be involved.

Awww I would still ask her .... and see how she feels hopefully becasue of her love for you she will still be able to and it will probably help her get her mind of things...

Def talk to her about it.
Just curious, What are you asking your MOH to do ? Other than ordering BM dresses, I have not asked my MOH or BM to do anything.

You should still include her... although I am not sure what exactly you are talking about. You still have plenty of time until your wedding. Take her out shopping and for ice cream. I know that makes me feel better.

Definitely include her, if she isn't comfortable, she should be able to let you know.
Yes, what have you been asking her to do? I haven't really asked mine to do anything other than come with me to pick up dresses and if she would help me the day of the wedding by picking up the other girls at the hotel.

Re: M.O.H trouble
Well we're Best friends and I talk to her about all the plans...obviously she'll help with dresses, but don;t you talk to your friends/bridesmaids/maid of honor about the big day??? Just the whole scenario Im sure has to feel a lil bad for her --I'm not doubting her happiness for me, but I just don;t want to make her feel any worse...Just wanted some input on how I can not make her feel bad...

Re: M.O.H trouble
I talk about a majority of my planning with my Fh and mom. I hope you are understanding about the hard time your friend is going thru and not putting your wedding planning before her needs.

Re: M.O.H trouble
Ok ,,,I do speak with my FH and mom and dad as well, AND of course I am being sensative to my friend....however with only less than 6 mths left I am a little freakish lol (my nerves r shot)...That is once again WHY I askked for a lil advice on here....i'm bound to say something at sometime when I see/talk to her. I was just doing a lot of thinking the past few days. I know I'll be ok and so will my MOH. She is def supportive of me as I am her. Like I said before I was looking more for what ways can I deal with this and if it would be wrong to talk to my BF (MOH) about my exciting day!!!
