MOH trouble

MOH trouble

My sister is my MOH and she is being really difficult. I am wearing a cross for my wedding that my mother, grandmother & g. grandmother all wore. My mom is so excited about it, we tried it on when I bought my dress and everything. This morning sis tells me I shouldnt wear it b/c 'it's old and I can just see it falling off on the dance floor so no one else can use it'. Every dress I tried she either said it's okay, or ooh i'd like that for me. I think she's P.O.'d b/c she's 28, been w/ the same guy for 6 years and no ring! When I told her I was engaged she seemed crest fallen. Every dress I show her a picture of for MOH she hates and it's sooo frustrating!! If she wasn't my only sister I would have someone else be MOH. I'm not even having a bridal party. Sorry for the vent.

Try your hardest to ignore her. I think its so special that you are wearing the cross. It does seem like she is super super jealous and trying to make you miserable along with her. Here are some

I can relate..IMy MOH is a Debbie Downer!!!!!!!!

If it was up to me I would have just a flower girl and ring bearer....I just dont want to deal with drama you know.

My sister got married already and she is telling me that I'm doing things wrong, as if there are laws behind planning a wedding.

You should think about not including her....pick out the dress yourself or just have her pick her own......this way you will stay away from the negativity.

It definitely sounds like she has some jealousy issues. It's crappy that you can't get an honest opinion out of your MOH but now you know to rely on your mother or other friends (or us!) for honest opinions. And, it is very ridiculous that she does not want you to wear the cross because you might lose it and then she can't wear it. You wear that cross to your wedding and you wear it proud!

I think she is a little bit jealous. She's your sister and I am sure you will have a beautiful time at your wedding. Dont listen to her when she gets like that.

One thing you have to remember is that this is your and FH day and noone else's. Don't let anyone ruin this happy time for you!

Aw that ***** that she is so jealous...I would just sit her down and tell her...hey...this is MY day...you need to be happy for me....when its your day I am gonna be really excited for you...
with the dresses...I would just pick a dress and tell her to wear it...

Yeah, sounds like jealousy... that's sad though because it's your sister... maybe she'll back off soon, hopefully... 'hmmmmmm' Have you told her her words really hurt sometimes....?

Definitely jealousy. And you definitely need to tell her, cause it won't stop here!

Re: MOH trouble

have you tried talking to her? ask her why she is acting this way. tell her that this is the happiest day of your life and you really want her to be happy for you, and that you asked her to be MOH because of how important she is to you. ask her if she really wants to be included in the planning process, give her an out if she can't get over her negitivaty. and you can always add in how happy you will be for her when she gets married! Good luck!

i would have a heart to heart with her because in the end of she is jealous she could start to resent you so much she could cut you out of her life. People have a tendency to do that.. so far two girlfriends i had for years just stopped hanging out wiht me and calling me since fh and i got seriouse.
