MOH Vent..sorry so long!

MOH Vent..sorry so long!

Here is my situation.
I have known my MOH since we were 5. We have been pretty tight and like all friendships it got strained when we went off to college...we always kept in touch and visited and all that... but we just kind of turned into different people.
I asked her to be my MOH because we have known one another for so long and we got really close again just recently because her BF had broken up with her and she moved back home and we spent a lot more time together. Now she is back with her BF, which I am happy about because she loves him, and moved back with him to Jersey.....I just found out she moved through an email she just sent me...
I just feel like now that she is back with her BF it is going to go back to her living her life and me living mine. I have another friend that is a BM and is so helpful and we are always doing things together and I just feel like she should be my MOH....she is always calling me to ask if I need help and my real MOH never asks about anything. I am just so frustrated... I mean when I just had my e-party she never asked how she could help or any of that... I just hate feeling like she isn't going to be helpful or supportive like my other friend is being and I feel like I have no other choice.
And for a side note...my mom has been battling cancer for the last 2 years (she is fine but she gets chemo every 2 weeks and she is doing really great...knock on wood) and my MOH NEVER asks about her when everyone else in my life always asks about my mom... and I have known her for 22 years! Ugh

First off, I'm so sorry about your mom. How inconsiderate of your MOH not to ask about her! It's so sad that girls grow up and grow apart. Can't we all just go back to playing Barbies and dreaming about our fairytale weddings? Maybe you should tell her how you feel... I assume you want her to be part of your life and your wedding. It takes a lot to really involve yourself in lives other than your own, but if she knows how much it would mean to you maybe she will try extra hard not to distance herself from you.

I know..I think I have to be blunt about it...I hint at it all the time thinking that she would pick up on it..honestly I don't know how she misses it... but I guess I am going to have to confront her about this.... it just drives me nuts... I don't get how she doesn't get it. Her uncle passed away from lung cancer a few months ago and when he was going through his chemo she would tell me about it as if I had no clue what happens and what it is like...I was just so dumbfounded by her that I couldn't even say...hello I go through that every 2 weeks!!!
Sometimes it is like it isn't worth bringing up.

If it's important to you than it is worth bringing up. Be very blunt, tell her exactly how you feel. If she's your best friend, she won't get defensive back at you. It's not like you're asking her to choose you, you are happy she's with her BF. She should be happy you care so much and want to keep your friendship that strong and close. Good luck!
