I'm having my sisters be my Maids of Honor and two of my best friends as my bridesmaids. I'm starting to look at dresses and I was wondering if I should do something different to make the maids of honor stand out ? maybe a different colored dress but the same style?. Any ideas on how to make their dresses special?
I was thinking of this dress : http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/114 in chocolate with a wine colored band for my maids of honors, and a wine colored dress with a chocolate band for the bridesmaids..or vice versa!
I like the look of the wine dress with the chocolate band, but not the other way around. Obviously this is about your preference though, so if that's what you like, go for it!

you can also have them all in the same color and have the BM in a matching sash and the MOH with the different color.. but either way i think it will look great!

we're doing that too
or, if we dont have sashes - then we'll have the moh in a complimentary shade of the same color ie. moh in lavender and bm in darker purple.

I love that idea. My MOH wanted to same color and dress as the other girls, so I got her a hair comb to make her stand out.

Thanks everyone! I'm definitely going to do something to make my MOH's stand out! I've got to see the dresses on them and figure out who looks good in what! but either way they'll have something extra to help them stand out :)

My BM's are in a plum dress with a violet sash and my MOH will have the opposite..Violet dress with plum sash. It's a Jordan dress, I think style# 953. Good luck!

If you want to do the same dresses for everyone, you can always have a special bo-k for the MOH's to make them stand out.

Yeah, weekend twin!!!!!!!! Purple has always been my favorite color but now that I have magenta shoes I'm doing a mix of the purple/plum from the girls dresses and some pink/majenta in the flowers. I love it for fall. I've also seen purple and orange for fall...I'm just personally not a fan of orange but they looked nice together.

I personally would would prefer to have all of the girls in the same dress....how about your MOH having a hair flower to make her stand out?

It's a great weekend!! :) yeah I keep going back & forth over whether or not I want orange in my fall-rustic theme! I love purples and plums though so I'll definitely incorporate that in some way, maybe in their dresses and bouquets and the some purple in the centerpieces!. I love those colors for fall too!
I'm really liking the same dress but something special idea..like a hair clip or a special bouquet ! I'm definitely getting them some nice jewelery to wear on the big day too.

You can have the same dress, but different flowers. Or you can have some sort of embellishment (broach/sash/etc) on the dress of the MOH.

Im sooo particular that I want all my girls in the same dress. MY MOH's will have a larger bouquet with more peonies like my bouquet and they will also have different jewelery than the other girls. Possibly a broach but I havent seen one I love yet.

My sisters are my MOHs and I wanted them in the same dress in a different color but they like the BMs color better, so they will all be the same. I am probably doing different flowers or my sister were thinking maybe a hairpiece or clip of some sort to make them look different.
