The actual terminology is MOPAR (but you got it phonetically correct!). I think that classic MOPARs are some of the most beautiful vehicles America has produced. They are also some of most rare (as opposed to 65 Mustangs you can pick up for a few thousand.)

Remember, the Charger is coming back in '05. The Challenger and or Cuda will be following soon thereafter!

In the meantime, here's a classic 'Cuda for you!

Re: mohpars cars

Lots of

Also..., that's the type of car you'd want someone who knows the cars to go over with a fine tooth comb. There's so much history in a car that you could easily get the short end of a deal if you aren't patient and know what to look for. (Check for repaired body damage, matching numbers, etc)

Check out some great MOPAR sites like Allpar (I'm on there at least 100 times a day). A good Charger site to look for cars for sale would be www.dodge-charger.com or even Ebay.

Good luck!

MOPARS...

Yeah me and DMAG know our share of Mopars. But DMAG is much more an expert on them than I am.

If you are really into Mopars... there is a huge show in Pennsylvania every July called 'Cars at Carlisle'. I believe its on or around July 9th.

It goes on for the whole weekend... and I have been there (WITH THE FW) the last two years. This coming July will be 3rd year in a row. My FW actually enjoys the show and doesn't mind going.

All I know is I will definitely be there at Carlisle come July. There better be ANOTHER PERSON and his now 'WIFE' there as well. I am sorry... but you can only use the excuse 'Well I am getting married' once in your life.

I'm getting all mushy inside.... I LOVEE MOPARS!! Had a 73' custom Charger (complete w/hideaway lights, turbo hood, etc) back in 1990. Unfortunately it was destroyed in a major accident that same year

I bought another 73' in 1994 but it kept breaking down and it was a major rustbucket. It was turning into a major money pit. The guy I sold it to ENDUROED it at Riverhead!!! I was there that day and FLIPPPEDD

Ever since the DOH I've been a diehard Mopar fan!!

Re: mohpars cars

I never actually owned one myself, but I built plent of car models when I was a kid. I had an insane Purple Dodge Challenger with a SuperCharger, Customized chassis...I tubbed the rear...and also painted flames on it.

I sold it on ebay for $16 plus shipping....I sold all 95 of my car models on ebay.

Re: mohpars cars

I've only owned classic Fords and a few GM's. I've always wanted an old MOPAR.

I'm TRYING to talk Felicia into letting me get a new Magnum, but she won't go for it....yet.

'It's a freakin station wagon!' is her response.

Yeah, it's a station wagon with 340hp and 390 ft lbs of torque!

Me want!

I love the Magnum. We are going to try and get one next year. My DH does not understand why I want a station wagon but I love this car.
