Re: MOM

My mom is the best because she is there for me no matter what. No matter the hardship or troubles I have faced throughout my years, she managed to listen, to be there, to stay up late at night until I got home safe. Now that I am about to marry, she is as excited as can be. She calls me at work at least 3 times a day with a new idea - 'did you think about printing menus for each person' or 'how about hawaii, it really is amazing' or 'so I think I can get you a deal with a florist' haha. The list goes on and on. My mom is the best because she is the first person I want to see when I wake up on my wedding day. She asked me to move back home for the week before my wedding, which I am actually really looking forward to. Waking up there, in the house that she made into a home will be an amazing feeling and a rush of emotion on my most special of days. She cherishes my fiance, picking him up little trickets along her travels and making him feel like part of the family as often as she can. He is overwhelmed at times with all the love she has bestowed upon him, this son she has always hoped for. I love my mom because she has taught me what family truly is and has led me where I am today, ready to start a family of my own.

Re: MOM

My mother and my mother in law are both coming...

My mother is a single mother and has raised 3 children on her own. She works two jobs and never thinks of herself only her children!

I can't even start to say how my Mom has been there for me. She has supported me in everything I do. She has helped me more than anyone else in this world. She has been my friend, my sister, and the best Mom. She is always telling me that I can do anything I put my mind too, and she is the reason why I have been so sucessful and driven. I love her so much!

Re: MOM

I love my mom dearly, because despite her downfalls and my downfalls, she has always taught me to fight for myself, to give selflessly, and to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. She is always there for me when I need her, even when she is in a lot of pain because if it's important to me, then it's important to her.

She is stubborn, hardheaded, a fighter having fought lymphomic cancer, and a firecracker in all 5' 0' of her. Everyone tells me I look like her and that I take right after her. In my early 20's I took it as an insult. Now I take it as the biggest compliment in the world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My Mom is my best friend, she always tells me things straight out, she has been my rock and supported me emotionally and when ever I was in a jam, financially. When I got pregnant with my son she was right behind me to help me since I was a single mom and never once did I doubt what I was doing because of her faith in me. SHe now helps me raise my Son and he is onr of luckiest little boys around with a Nana like her!!

Re: MOM

I love my mom! She's my best friend and my angel, we talk about everything and she supports me to no end.

A Child's Angel

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God:

They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?

Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.

But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy.

Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.

And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men talk?

Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.

And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?

Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.

I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?

Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.

But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.

Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry asked softly:

Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name

Your angel's name is of no importance, you will call your angel:
Mommy

Re: MOM

My mother & father (because my father is just as much an important part of my life) are two of the greatest people in the world. I have always been very close to both of my parents, so having them their through this journey is very special for me, I thank God everyday. They have always been there to support me and guide me through my life. If it were not for them I would not be the person that I am today. Through the wedding planning my mother, father, and I, have been having a ball, reminiscing over very good memories through the years. For my family (including my bro & my dog ) this experience has brought joy (and of course moments of stress $$$$$ ) into our family, and hopefully will continue as my fiancee & I share in creating our own family. This sounds sooooo very mushy, it's making me tear.. hehe...

Re: MOM

My mother is my hero and my best friend. She is a breast cancer survivor, God Bless Her. She is a strong person, yet caring and comforting at the same time. She stayed up late with me correcting my math homework when I was young and helped me buy a house when I grew up. She drove me to Girl Scouts as a little girl and will anything to give 'her little girl' her dream wedding as a grown woman. She calls me to talk about her favorite American Idol as my friend and is there to guide me in life as my mother. She is the only one who will ever TRUTHFULLY tell me 'how I look' before I walk out the door in an outfit. She stood outside, overnight, on line in freezing weather when I was in college to buy me tickets for a Bon Jovi concert because she wanted me to stay home to study for my final the next day (and got me REALLY good seats, as I recall!). Even now, she always puts herself last. She is the most selfLESS person I know. She is in a lot of pain with two terrible heel spurs, but will NEVER say no to walking around a wedding expo with me (including tomorrow's!). I know she would walk the earth for me. Planning this wedding together has brought us even closer together, if that's possible. She has always stressed the importance of studying, school, responsibility, faith, family and everything else important in life. She has been my cheerleader and my coach, all at the same time. She is the first person I call when things are great - and the first person I call when things go wrong and I need advice. She IS my home. (great... now I'm tearing up.) She was the BEST daughter to her mother, and the BEST mother to her children. I can only hope that I make her proud and am the daughter she always hoped for. Needless to say, I love my mother, my friend. The best compliment I can EVER get is that I'm 'just like my mother'.

Re: MOM

My mother is the strongest woman I know. Even after everything she's been through in the past year and beyond, she's kept the family together. After being seriously injured after a fall, and everything with my dad, she's still been there to take care of everyone. She's found the time to encourage me to go back to school, to come to every single play I've acted in, directed, or scraped spaghetti off the walls for (don't ask...it was a particularly rambunctous cast of 'the odd couple'). Despite her own struggles she is always generous with her time and love. My mom helps everyone, from driving elderly neighbors to the doctor or to see family members, to five years taking care of her own mother when she was bedridden. She's always put her life aside for others, whether it was caring for ehr parents or her grandparents, her children, or the many extended family members who depend on her. I don't know where my mom finds all of the hours in the day that she does to help care for everyone, or where she finds her strength. I hope to one day have half of the strong faith and profound strength that my mother has. Her gift to me is exceptional because I was adopted. Not many people can find it in their hearts to care for an adopted child as her own, but my mother has done this, and I will never be anything other than my mother's daughter (we even look alike!) Despite all of the challenges she's faced, she's always been there for me, and she'll always be my best friend, and the best mom in the world..

Re: MOM

My MOM is a little cutie pie, my parents live in New Hampshire, so we will not be attending the event. The reason she is such a little cutie pie is about 10 yrs ago when I was 17, my mom suffered from a stroke. she lost her speech and movement on her right side of her body As she strengthened herself and got thru her rehabilitation she was like a little kid, she still is, so she is my little cutie pie

My mother is the most amazing woman. She is beautiful inside and outside... She is a true friend - the first person I go to when I need advice or just to talk or vent about anything. I am a lucky woman to have had someone like her raise me.
