oh my Mom is PISSING me off. and I mean PISSING ME OFF!
We always take my grandmother out for mother's day. ALWAYS. It's always somewhere ridiculously far for me. I live an hr & a half from my parents, my gma lives in the bronx.
anyway, she made these brunch plans at a place in Tarrytown which I already told her it was too freaking far. and at 11am? W T F?
last night, while I'm waiting for the cops to show up, she calls and tells me she changed the plans AGAIN. 4th time...and now we're going directly to my Gma's at 1pm.
So I'm annoyed bc of the situation and I mention that I was going to queens later that day and she has the balls to say,for what?'
FIR WHAT? To see Fh's mom and gma.
She copped an attitude and now wont speak to me. Ugh, the world does NOT revolve around you Mom.

and I have to add that the only reason she canceled the brunch plans was bc her jerkface snake in the grass sister decided they were unsuitable.
But its ok that I have to leave my house at like 7:30am.
and..I gave her a HUGE list of brunch places and she chooses the same place we decided wasn't worth the $ or driving.

it will. my mom and i have always been like this. everything I do annoys her. My relationship w FH's family enrages her.

Just out of curiosity are you referring to the brunch at Tarrytown House? We did a group thing 2 years ago there for Mother's Day and the food was great and it was a nice atmosphere.
I completely agree with you though - definitely a far drive and you could find something just as nice closer to home.

update - my mom just called ME to make me cancel the reservations. she can call me, but she cant call them? This is the story of my life.
I told her what I thought of her bad attitude and then said fine...I called.
FH told me he'd go w me to my gma's in Riverdale and we'd go to queens after. Good, he'll diffuse the situation for me.

oh i did. i'm not shy. I'm an only child. Ive always had to stand up on my own.
and i did what she asked. she called me to thank me and then of course asked me to do research for her on a trip shes going on.
