mom vent: HELP!

so you know how i asked you all if you thought my hair style in this picture would be good for my epics?





Well I was so happy that most of you said yes, because i was liking it too and thought it would be good because i dont want my hair to be jsut straight because even though i love my hair, it feels so BLAH and plain and i hate all the pictures i take with it like that. So i thought this style might be good because its not too done up, more natural

well i showed my mom the picture and told her that is how i was going to do it for my epics and what did she think.. she told me NO it makes my forehead look to big and that my hair should be the way i always have it in all my pictures..

now im so upset i dont know what to do. Now im worred that if i do my hair like this.. its going to look bad and i should have listened to her.. i hate that i am second guessing myself all the time

i feel like doing this...

Your forehead doesn't look too big at all.. Do you have any head on shots - instead of ones that look as though they've been taken below you? It may be all in the angle...

I think it looks completely lovely. I even showed FH & he said he thinks it looks nice. I asked - do you think she has a big forehead and he said no way.

If she's anything like mine - she'll never think you look good enough. My mom likes to point out other people's flaws - as if she has none.. It drives my SIL crazy and she said next time she says something in appropriate she' s going to tell her to check a mirror prior to opening her mouth again...

my mom is kinda like that.. The thing is everything that she thinks looks good i dont so we are always banging heads.
I guess when it comes down to it. I know how i feel. I feel so much prettier in the pic with my hair curled than i do in the other.. i guess because i feel polished, or that my look was a little more finished. but its upsetting when the 1 person you want to agree with you doesnt! ahhhh

Your mom may not like it, but your feelings matter more... Face it - when you are taking those pictures - a genuine smile of being happy with your hair will look better than a smile saying 'does my hair look okay'??

One of my bridesmaids is like that & I love her for it. My MOH will just say how nice you look...but my other BM will be like, okay - you look nice, BUT maybe that shirt is a little tight, etc... I so appreciate it.

I love people like that.. I was just at FH's house and his mom had one of her Male dancers over.. hes the funniest guy... he speaks his mind and says it like it is.. plus hes gay so hes like NO GIRL THAT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD haha.. love it!!!! we need more people like that in the world... and on LIW haha

yeah we need some more night people.. but i guess once im back at work when summer ends i wont be one either.. haha

I thank God every day that I'm a night person. FH doesn't get home from work during the week until 9 - so if i were normal - i'd be asleep by 11 and we'd never see each other. His only off days are Tuesday & Friday...and naturally i work those days..
