Mommas - Emmas fever is 102.8!!!

dr is closed. he always said below 103 is ok... over bring her in. well hes closed... should I ER it or what??? Help!

its been awhile since you wrote this - if it hasn't gone down, I would take her in. Better off being overly cautious.

I used to get scared and bring Rhiannon to the ER but I was told that is the worst thing to do b/c of all the germs Dr. told me tylenol first then motrin if that does not work. poor Emma.

well i gave her tylenol and her temp is down to 101.7. I hope it stays down and we can get some sleep tonight.

Glad to hear it is coming down also Try to keep her cool but dont use cold water use room temp on a wash cloth and just pass cloth over her skin to keep her comfy. She may just br cutting another tooth

I remember my pediatrician telling us that it was okay to give a dose of Tylenol and Motrin to get a fever down - BUT, I think that was only a fever associated with a vaccine.

I am so glad the fever has gone down - I guess the Tylenol is working. Do you still think it's b/c of teething, or do you think she's coming down w/something? Poor Emma! Hugs to Emma - hope she's feeling better in the morning!

Thanks guys. I took her temp (kinda ive been doing it orally so I can only do it when shes REALLY sleeping) and its down under 101. Hopefully shes getting better OR that darn tooth is going to pop.

That is a high temp for a tooth. I would take her to the Dr. if it isn't down by tomorrow Hopefully she will feel better by then

So this morning... we woke up at 9:30. She is usually up at 7!! She is playing and active. I havent taken her temp yet today but she feels warm still. Not burning like yesterday but still warm. Ill update when I take her temp again.
