Ok my mom and FMIL have officailly screwed up my thoughtful plans.
Can anyone tell me why one is wearing ivoryand goldish color dress and the other is wearing black with gold (she returned the ivory one I had chosen) the fathers are in black tuxes and wearing silver vests....did I also mention that my moms dress is non returnable..She is a bit sad because I dont lie well and she could tell I was disappointed that she was not matching my color scheme. So she said she will take minimum pics so she wont spoil our album. I could never let her do that..I just wished they had both checked with me before buying

LOL...I know my FMIL is going to pick whatever she wants..I am only hoping she does not pick the color of the BM dresses. I really don't have a 'color scheme' that includes the moms. I think whatever they like is ok by me... But i am hoping the FMIL has the sense to stay away from my BM dress color!

I know it wasn't your plan but you have to deal with the hand you are dealt. Can't the fathers wear black vests? (I personally prefer silver myself but your right - it's not going to look right)
Technically, the fathers aren't in the bridal party and at least they will match their wivs in photos.

I should call up the tux place and let them know to put the dad's in a black vest right?

Don't worry... my mom has a rose/mauve colored dress and my FMIL decided to wear turquoise

We are now arguing. I said since my dad is the one responsible for her choosing the black & gold..his vest will change to a more complimentary color..and so will FFIL ...Fair right?

I guess you are probably a bit upset as you'd think they'd try to make things go smooth. I sendhug: I guess you are trying to match and I personally prefer silver as well but concentrate on the positive....your parents are going to be there for you on your special day so right there that is a big blessing. Some people don't even have them alive or don't get along and will not have them there. I find myself blessed in that sense and know that I have their love and support. Hope all works out. JMO

yeah I know what you mean..a few minutes ago mom called and said that DAd said he's ok to change his vest.. It worked out!

When you look back on your wedding day, it won't matter if your mother's dresses matched your color scheme. Try not to let it bother you. Focus on the bigger things and enjoy!
