Mommy almost had a heartattack !

We were at friends for dinner last night -- and Aidan was running around with all of the kids.. and before I knew it the kids were all running downstairs to the playroom -- Aidan followed and fell down the stairs!! ALL THE WAY DOWN ! I screamed ---- He was just laying at the bottom screaming. I thought I would die!!! I ran down and he jumped up and hugged me cried for a minute -- and grabbed a toy car and started playing. We looked him over -- and he was fine!! THANK GOD. I have never been so scared in my life. He then went over to a play telephone and was pretending to talk on it -- and the big joke was that he was calling child services --' Hello- my mommy just let me fall down the stairs' ....haha.. Anyway -- it is amazing how fast something can happen ..... I am still shaken up !!

So glad to hear he is ok! I was babysitting for a kid once (and only once as you'll see why) and he wanted to play superman. So stupid me goes ok, how do you play? So he goes come on, like this. And proceeds to the top of the stairs and jumps - down the whole flight of stairs until he was flat at the bottom. I've never been so martified in my life and the kid was at the bottom saying come on, you do it now!

Oh Gosh Danielle! Thats my worse fear (and Im surprised it hasnt happend yet cuz they can be SO QUICK! )
Im glad he's ok !

JA also got a nice bump this weekend. He ran right into the corner of a wall... it swelled up for the first few minutes, and we put ice on it. The next morning there was no swelling at all (Thank GOODNESS!) just a little line

I hear these are AMONGST MANY MANY bumps and bruises... and JA seems to be very much 'the tough guy' very rough on everything and climbs, bangs and bumps into EVERYTHING (VERY LOUDLY!), and unless its a corner or edge, he bounces right back up as if nothing happened!

OMG!!! Thank God Aidan's ok!! I'm sorry that mom wasn't!! They can certainly add a few grays to your head!!! I'm glad everyone was ok in the end!!

Jenn, that's b/c they don't yet KNOW what could actually happen, and we DO! I wish sometimes, when Paul gets hurt, that I was unaware of the 'what if's!'

Thanks for all of the kind words! I am doing much better today --- But now I just want to carry him up and down the stairs! ANd I thought he would be afraid of the steps -- NO -- he keeps trying to run down ours! My house has so many gates up -- it looks like a prison!! LOL
