Moms at weddings

Moms at weddings

Like many girls on here, I love both my parents very much. That said, I am really happy that my father gets to walk me down the aisle & has a dance with me.
My aunt was raised by a single mom & she danced with her mom, that was beautiful & mad sense to all.
Now I keep thinking about my mom, she is very important to me & I keep feeling like there is no lime light for her on my wedding day. Of course my father is happy & looking forward to the wedding, but in my case, my mom is the more excited of the two, the one that wants to do what ever she can~is there anything traditional or nontraditional done for the mother of the bride?

(not sure if this is a rant, if so, sorry, lol)

Do you have a brother? If so, pick a song and have your brother dance with her!

Or, have your parents wedding song played and they dance to it!

Oh, I like the parents' wedding song idea--I think I'll do that!

I was thinking the same thing, especially since after my parents divorced, she was the one who raised us for years alone. So, I AM going to surprise her with a dance after the father/daughter dance. She's going to be so happy!

I was thinking of doing it too, but, I decided to use my parents wedding song for us to dance to after we cut the cake.....

What about having both your parents walk you down the aisle? Or are you doing the unity candle or anything like it for the two moms to light together?

a friend of mine had these same feelings and had both parents walk her down the aisle...she still had her dance with her dad alone too
