Moms - need your opinion...

This post is sparked by my post on NWR about small gifts for my DH's family during our visit to FLA.

I just want to know what everyone else thinks...I'd love some other opinions....when do photo gifts of one's child become overkill?

I feel like we've done photo gifts so much already and with DH's sister working for a photo print company [the family gets 50% prints anytime], photos feel like a 'non-gift' in a way...does that make sense?

Just want to get a sense of what everyone else thinks...

Can a Mom-to-respond?

Personally, I love photo gifts of my neices and nephews and of my friends babies. I love the magnetic kind that I can put on the fridge. So for me, this is a great gift (that of course needs to be updated at least yearly! )

Not a mom yet either but............. when its family, I think they would love updated photos of your child and even more so because they are so far away and don't get to see them as often as they would like.

I am a big fan of giving my child's photos as gifts. Her grandparents live in NY and we live in ME so they love nothing more than to open a parcel to discover a picture of our little cutie. We got them each a coffee mug with her pic on them for their bdays! They agreed it was their favorite gift yet!

I gave photomugs to all the grandparents and Aunts at Christmas and they all loved them. I only have one photo mug of Ryan (my nephew) and I have even asked for an updated one.
I am also a big fan of the shutterfly.com cards that I can make with a photo. I sent those for v-day to the grandparents and they seemed to enjoy them.
I don't plan on ONLY giving photo gifts or ALWAYS giving them but so far, people seem to enjoy getting new Molly things.

Of course no one has had enough of Molly yet She's still so new!

We've given photo gifts recently - maybe I wasn't clear enough...we gave Jeff's grandmother a bingo bag for Christmas and the outside of the bag is clear, so that it can hold photos. I sent a photo keepchain along with it. So, that's why I'm second guessing a photo type gift.

I'll think about it tonight...but I have to make my final decision tomorrow. Thanks everyone!
