MOMS OF TODDLERS! Have you been through this?

MOMS OF TODDLERS! Have you been through this?

Maiah has just recently learned the word 'no!' That's all I hear now. 'Are you hungry?' 'NO' Can I change your diaper?' 'NO' You get the idea.

Now for the past two days she refuses to eat anything. This is totally not like her. She's always been a healthy eater and is 'hungee' around the clock. Now, if I'm lucky enough to actually get her in her high chair, she has a tantrum screaming 'no no no!' and all the food ends up on the floor! Yesterday she had one slice of banana all day. I'm getting kind of frustrated and worried.
My question is: is the not eating typical at this stage (she's 16 months) since she's obviously testing her control and independence OR should I be worried that there is another factor, i.e. illness????
HELP!

Sounds completly normal. Just leave food around the house for her like a bowl of cheerios or golffish or whatever else you give her to snack on. Shes just testing you. GOOD LUCK!

Yes, that's what I thought! She sure is testing me!! But you know how us moms worry! It's hard not to!
Thanks for the advice Karen! I had you in mind when I posted this question!

I hope its a SHORT stage. I think she will eat if she is hungry.

I actually got her to eat some dinner tonight. It was still a struggle though. She was even saying 'no' to boobie!
How old is your daughter, Victoria?
