moms processional

moms processional

Is it okay for the Mother of the Bride to walk in by herself?

I don't have brothers, and I do not prefer that my mom's only brother walk her down either. I have a groomsmen that she knows and could, but they are by no means close.

I figure Mom is just as special if not more then the maid of honor (my sister), so if MOH walks alone, can't mom too???

I am an only child... My mom refuses, she says its traditional for moms to be escorted. I am having one of the GMs do it.

I'm having both of my parents escort me down the aisle. Would you consider doing that?

That's what I did. My mom and dad walked me down but if we decided against my mom walking down with me and my dad, she was going to walk with my grandma (my grandpa passed almost 2 years ago).

I think it's fine if she's fine with it. But it might depend where you are getting married. Is it in a church? I remember for my sister's wedding her preist said my mom must have an escort. We didn't know this until the rehersal. So we just used my my mom's sister's son (my cousin). They aren't close at all.
