The Baby Bargains Book! Based upon the reviews of others I bought this yesterday and have been reading it ever since. If you are a first time soon-to-be mom like myself that has walked into Baby's R Us and felt like you were on another planet, this will totally help. I don't mean to sound like a commercial, but it really explains what you need, what you don't and that a $500 crib is probably just as safe as a $150 crib. Plus it tells you the manufacturers of cribs/furniture from companies that don't normally disclose that info (Pottery Barn, JC Penney). I know I am totally freaked out by the cost of getting the necessary items for baby and this book definately makes you realize that a big price tag but no means equals definate better quality/safety. Just wanted to share...

Re: Mom's to Be you must buy...
This book was a huge help to me. I don;t know if I'll actually have gotten any bargains from it perse, but it gives great reviews and rates the items you will need.

Re: Mom's to Be you must buy...
does anyone know how this book compares to 'Consumer Reports Best Baby Products'
I wouldn't want to buy both if they are essentially the same thing...
THANKS!

I have the Consumer Reports book too. I think I might stop at Border's and take a look at the other one though, just to compare. It sounds like it has some really good info. in it.
