Thank you Jackie for making me BOTW! My Avatars always take forever to change...so hopefully it will change eventually.
So here goes my first question. After a conversation last night with my FH and one of his GM I noticed a significant difference in how they felt or thought about their role in a wedding. His friend wanted to be involved in EVERYTHING and not just saying yes or no...and my FH role is to really make the extra money and just said yes or no to most major things. His motto is tell me where and when to show up and what to do.
So......What how active has your FH been in the wedding planning? Does he want to be there for everything or have the outlook just tell me where to be?

My FH is involved in everything........ he's with me at every appointment & he is helping me pick out flowers, menus, etc. I picked the wedding color scheme myself. but he is pretty much into the whole planning process. Only thing he isn't really doing is the invite mailing list. that's all on my shoulders. but you bet your a$$ I am going to make him stuff the envelopes!!!!!!!

I did more than he did, but since he was in Ithaca and I was in DC, we couldn't always meet up to do things together.
We chose the vendors together except photo
He had more to say about the RH menu and the RD menu, but I did the basic legwork and narrowed things down

I've been trying to get FH involved, but he takes forever to make a decision. And he always says it's going to be what I want anyway - which is sorta true! The only thing I have over-rided was the cake - he wanted red velvet, I wanted chocolcate - I won.

My FH wanted a say in the RH , menu and DJ thats about it. All the other things I basically made the decisions. He doesnt really care to be involved in the little details.

We make decisions together, but it takes forreevvverrrr to get him to sit down and look at something or make an appt... I feel like he was more active when we had months and months to plan, but now that we are heading into crunch time he keeps telling me to relax, it'll get taken care of....
YYYYyyea, I know, I'M the one taking care of it and I'd like to do so NOW! LOL
I think what happened is he was more worried about the bigger ticket items, so once we knew how much we were spending on the major vendors he felt everything was set, and now we just have little things to figure out.
Still trying to figure out how to make him aware that we (I, really) have about 472 'little' things to take care of that he doesn't even realize need to be done, that all take friggin 3 hours each....

Re: ***Monday 8/8 QOTD****
My baby boy has been with me on every single decision- he's been at every single meeting/ shopping trip (except the dress and the make up trial) and he's paying for 90% of our wedding. He's been super great- He even spent 4 hours adorning our invites with perfectly placed swarovski crystals!! I couldn't have asked for better!
Of course he is slacking at getting me a couple of addresses- and drags his feet a bit when he's tired.
But he's GREAT!!!!
And when he has strong opinions towards things- I usually let him have his way!
