1. We always had pets while I was growing up. There was a point when we had 3 dogs at one time.
2. It was very strange when I first moved out not to have a pet. After about 5 years of being in my own apt. I got my rabbit, Sniffles.
3. Sniffles is now 11 years old! She's adorable. FH is just as in love with her as I am. She's more like a cat or dog than a rabbit. For something that is only 3 lbs, she definitely rules the roost!

1. Nope, except for goldfish but even that was only until my parents divorced at 12. My mom always promised me a cat but never got me one. She kept saying she wanted the basement to be finished first and we never did.
2. Neither of us have pets now. We don't live together.
We do plan to have pets in the future. Either a dog, a cat, or both. FH always grew up with pets. Here is his parents' dog, Hank.

1. Never had a pet growing up. 2. Was never a pet person but we have a lhasa apso name Zeus. That is my baby! I didnt want a pet and FH bought him home anyway and Im in love 3. I have one but I still dont know how to post pictures after being on this site for over 2 years
my dog sandy did a few years ago..she was the best..she had a extra toe and could chew gum
we still have the cats and they r getting older as well..

Great first question
I have had two cockatiels (Manu & Chico), a fish named Goldie White, and a hamster I got in college named Comet who got out of his cage because I over cleaned it. Manu for you Hawaiin bound brides means bird in Hawaiin, so his name was actually bird. Chico we found and he sang the Mexican hat dance when we found him. We couldn't find his owner so he was with us for 8 years.
We have had numerous dogs...
1) Smidgeon - Yorkshire Terrier (she didn't look like a Yorkie so my dad called her a Wostershire Terrier) was alive before I was and hated me and I hated her. She bit me once, though she had no teeth by then so it didn't hurt.
2) Ginger - HUGE Junkyard Mutt - we found her when the South Shore rapist was running around and my mom decided to keep her when we couldn't find the owner. She was the sweetest dog in the whole world. Walked me to the bus every day. She died of a tumor about 10 years later.
3) Pippen - Papillion - my little brown and white cutie, she was my dog. She died just over a year old when she escaped from my house on Halloween and did her favorite thing, jumping in a pile of leaves, only this pile was at the end of the canal and she drowned.
4) Truffle - Papillion - had her 13 years until we put her down the day of the Dave and Busters GTG
5) Cookie - my sweetheart Papillion - she is like a little rag doll/teddy bear. She just wants love. She is having heart problems now though.
FH and I want a Papillion of our own but we plan to wait a while so nothing is tying us down. But then if FH is still in CT a lot we might be getting a baby in the Spring. I would never get one that I have to house train in the winter.

1. We had pretty much every type of pet you can think of gowing up. Dogs, cats, hamsters, iguanas, birds, rabbits, fish, guinea pigs…. At one point by dog had puppies so we had 12 dogs for a while! And hamsters really do multiply!
2 and 3. No pets now (we rent an aprtment) but that's one of the things I'm most looking forward to about getting a house after the wedding. FH wants a dog and I want a cat.

1. My pet growing up was my little baby cat, Angel. He was like my little brother from 8th grade until this February, just over 10 years. I know that sounds weird, but he was there for me for so much, and I would always cuddle him when I was feeling bad and he made me feel better. He just got very suddenly sick, and it was all over. Just BAM. He left us way too soon, and to say I've been traumatized is an understatement. I still cry every day and I just can't seem to get over it and the image of him laying there is burned in to my eyes, it's really and truly awful.
2. I don't have a pet now, and needless to say, I don't want another one ever again. FH has a Coton, they actually brought her home from the breeder the day Angel passed, ironically. Thank god it's the family dog and he's not bringing it with us, because I call it Cujo. For such a sheeshee little dog, it just won't quit, and has a weird foot fetish. It turns out that it's parents are expecting another litter, and FH wants one for us. Another demon puppy with the same exact genetic makeup? I don't think so! FH really wants us to get a dog, we can never get a cat even if he wanted and I was able to do that again because of his severe allergies, but I really do not like dogs.

2. I have a dog now, emma, a chocolate lab, we didn't get her together, but she will be ours
Me and the FH only have a fish now! His name is Eggroll!! (hopefully get a puppy once we have a house)

1. I always had pets growing up...fish, hampsters, cats and dogs. I can't imagine growing up without pets.
2. FH and I have 3 pets....1 dog and 2 cats. When our relationship began I had my dog, Morgan and he had his cat, Chloe. After about a year of living together in harmony (lol) we got another kitty, Gus.

1. I had fish and a hamster growing up. During my first year of teaching, my parents adopted a black lab/border collie mix who I LOVE dearly. I'll have to post his picture, too.
2. I didn't personally bring a pet into the picture, but FH did. . .his kitteh Boomer. She has totally become my cat, as she's more apt to climb all over me when she's hungry or wants attention.
Keep the pet pictures coming!!!! I love kittehs and goggies! (hehe, if you know icanhascheezburger.com, you know what I'm talking about)

1. Yes! I've always had cats...
Frisky- a tabby cat who was a 30th b-day present for my mom, i was 3 when we adopted her and she lived for 18 great years! she was my cat growing up and stayed by my side always!
Shadoe- she was all black and we named her after Shadoe Stevens on Hollywood Squares (Stevens is my last name). We got her for a companion for Frisky when I was about 6. She also lived 18 years.
Snoball- she was the sweetest white cat. We adopted her from a neighbor who was allergic when she was 8. Unfortunately she had a lot of medical issues (she was deaf, for one) and she passed at 14.
CoCo Chanel- she lives with my mom, but we adopted her shortly after we lost Shadoe. She is 4 now and is a sweet little Tuxedo cat.
Toby (Maguire- my mom is a little obsessed)- Toby was a white cat with black spots on his shoulders that looked like angel wings. His tail was all black, and it was so funny on his all white body. We adopted him a little while after we lost Snoball and he was such a ball of fun. Toby also had some medical issues, but we think he was poisoned with the bad pet food last year and went to heaven after only a year and a half :(
Lucifer- he is just about a year old now and is all black... he is the runt of the litter and he's a rough little boy. He loves playing with CoCo.
ETA: I almost forgot about Spud!! I was dying for a turtle for so long, so for my 15th birthday my mom promised me a turtle. We went to Petco to get one and they offered a tortoise to us for free. They thought he was dead or dying and figured we could try to nurse him back to health. They kept him in a cardboard box, it was awful!! Well, we took him home and named him Spud (after Spud Mackenzie- i have no idea why i chose that!) and he still lives, 12 years later!
2. We adopted 2 kittens together almost 2 years ago. FH had cats growing up also, but all of our pets stayed with our moms when we moved in together. They're brothers and are the sweetest little babies I have ever had!
Jack (who is laying on my lap as I type) is a tuxedo cat with the most adorable face. I named him Jack because most of his face is white, but his nose has a patch of black that looks like a Jack-o-Lantern. He was taken from his mommy too soon and 'nurses' on my ear when he's feeling mushy. He is always by my side and gets so happy when I come home that his tail twitches.
Tyler is a beautiful tabby cat who is also a sweetie. He likes to watch the outside cats and tries to talk to them through the window. He was named after Tyler Durden from Fight Club (FH's choice there, but I like the name Tyler). He likes to kiss FH and I by licking our noses, and he has a strange desire to come to the bathroom every time we get up to go. He loves to sleep on his daddy, so I have a million pics of him and FH all curled up looking cute :)
