MONDAY QOTD!

Hi Everyone!

First off, thank you for nominating me for BOTW! I'm honored!

So, down to business,

What is an original idea that you came up with for the wedding that you're proud you thought of yourself? Could be any little detail or one major one!




For me, I am still not sure if I'm going to use it, but I was proud of myself when I had the idea of possibly using the RSVP cards as everyone's place cards! They all had cute smiley faces and 'Can't wait!''s and I thought all lined up together, it could maybe look cool!

I think my favorite original idea was our favors -- the personalized, foldable, reusable grocery bags.



I felt so, so good having all our guests leave with something that could help them do just a tiny bit towards saving the world. Now when I see people using them, I feel just great!

There were a few other little things too but that's the one that came to mind first.

I know my cousin really appreciated that I sent our 20-person limo back around to the hotel to take everyone to the RH (some of our friends had never been in a limo so it was a real treat!). Probably not as original but I'm so glad they enjoyed it!

I would have to say our favors. FH brewed his own beer and we had personlized labels made up. Everyone is getting a beer with a bottle opener keychain with our names & the date on it... Its totally us. FH loves to make beer so I couldn't resist.

our mother daughter dance.. we did a surprise dance to abba's mamma *****!! everyone loved it!!!

actually that was her idea!!

well one of my idea was the montage during dinner!! we had it broken down into three parts... deceased, me & dh, family & friends...everyoe was surprised to see themselves on the screen!!!

I actually had a lot of stuff that made our wedding unique!!

i will try to post a pic of our dance!!

I think a pretty cool and original idea that my sister came up with was the towel basket that I will post pics of later.

Since we are getting married on the beach everyone will have their feet in the sand so my sister thought it would be a good idea to get a bunch of washcloths and put them in a basket at the end of the ramp to the beach so that when people come off of the sand they can wipe the sand off of their feet.

I got the washcloths soooo cheap. I bought the pack of 12 from Kohls and I think they were $5 each and I bought 6 packs. So worth is and such a cute idea. The basket came out so nice!!

The shell shaped tea candles around the centerpieces and the salt water taffy scattered on the table. That added a bit of NJ Shore for Jason and looked so pretty.

My mom's ideas to light the globes and to put submergible lights in the centerpieces was the best though.

hmmm...that is a good question.....I'm thinking about it - I don't have any originally ideas...i suck

This is a great question!

As part of the ceremony and part of our vows I will be singing a song 'Listen to my heart'.

I loved a lot of my details lol but this one I think is the best.

Our custom Swarovski crystal monogram!

Mine is our favors. We wrote a comic book depicting our engagement story and one of his comic book artist friends (FH is a comic artist rep) is drawing the book for us.

I can't wait to see the final product. I will def post pics!

For me, it's my Ventian Masks...maybe not totally original, but given it's not a Halloween wedding, it's a little different. I just love that instead of a floral arrangement on the Sweetheart table, I'll have my bride mask in front of me and FH will have his groom mask in front of him!

well the thing that im most proud of i that fh and i stuck to what we wanted..and never tried to be anything diffrent then ourselves

now for fav actual thing...we really wanted to make the cps pop with the colrs and candles going down the cp vase...so we bought vases..2 for each table..and r filling them up with reeses piees to ut on either side of the cps....colors match perfect wtheveryting and who dos not love candy

I love that with the candy! I'm actually putting my wedding colors in Jelly Beans on each table to match the colors, but also Ben's Jelly Belly Grooms Cake!

I had pink and white personalized gum packs and after dinner they were handed out PEOPLE LOVED THEM!!! They said 'only Natalie would be concerned about her guests garlic breath at her wedding'
