****Monday QOTD****

Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Thank you for picking me again Jess!!

Wedding related: When you think about your wedding, who are you most concerned with possibly turning things sour and/or embarrassing you?

NWR: What is the craziest excuse you have given to your job to call out sick?

WR: And I love my father with all my heart but when I think about him on the dance floor, I start to get embarrassed. He dances like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. haha.

NWR: I told my company once that I couldnt come in bc 'I drank too much soda the night before and my stomach was killing me' What a weird *** excuse!!!

WR: I'm hard to embarrass, but I guess the only thing I'm concerned about is the MOH speech. I just don't want anyone saying something completely inappropriate.

NWR: I'm sure when I was a teenager I probably came up with some ridic excuses to skip out on work. These days I usually just say I have a 'stomach bug'. Nobody ever asks details on that!

p.s....cassandra, can your dad come to my wedding? he sounds like a lot of fun!

WR: My aunt and uncle are divorced and my uncle has a new gf and I have a few friends who don't talk to each other. I would like to think everyone will act like an adult though. Your dad sounds like fun!!

NWR: I never said anything weird just said I didnt feel good.

Believe it or not, I'm most concerned about my own father. My father has an extremely short temper..

For example, if he goes to get scissors out of the junk draw they are normaly thrown in , and they aren't there - he starts screaming about the scissors and how he needs them, Pull out screaming for 20-30 minutes even if you drop what you are doing to give him the scissors.

So he's prone to temper tantrums at the smalles tthing.. I've already had a convo with the best man to keep him away from us (bride & Groom) so we can enjoy our day.

Most embarrassign excuse - I was caught on a one way road with a huge moose in front of me unwilling ot move. I was living in vermont at the time, it was true adn the moose was so well known -it was a legitimate excuse strangely enough.

I'm realllllllly worried about someone getting too drunk at my wedding! My family and FH's family are big parties and there's always at least one person who throws up. I really don't want one!

I was extremely dizzy but it was a legitimate excuse! I almost couldn't drive and laid down until I felt better. My boss was great about it.

Im worried about FHs daughter acting up. Shes normally good but she gets her moments and I dont want FH or I to have to deal with that. I wish we could send her home after the ceremony cuz I really wanted no kids at the reception but oh well. We already told her Godfather though hes in babysitting duty lol Im also worried about certain ppl getting too drunk and acting like fools.. 2 of them being my moms bf and FH grandma.. yes grandma gets down! Lol I hope they both control thr liq.

Ive never given a crazy excuse for work. I usually just say Im not feeling well. Once though I did say we had an emergency and had to wait for the plumber lol

This is my biggest fear as well....could not have put it better because my friends, FH, and myself are also huge party animals.

NWR: I called out during a snowstorm and told my boss that my parents wouldn't let me drive to work (I was still in college) because the streets around by town weren't plowed. This was totally true, my parents refused to let me drive, but my job thought it was redic!

WR: I was so afraid for the longest time that the BM speech would include how we met - my mother DID NOT know! I had told her I met him on Fire Island when in reality it was on a dating website. She's so old fashioned, I thought she'd flip. But since then I have told her. She wasn't thrilled, but she loves FH so she got over it relatively quickly. Other than that, I'm not embarrassed easily, but I'm sure my FBIL will try! (In a good natured way of course).

NWR: I VERY VERY rarely call in sick to work, and if I did it's because I can't move from my bed

Re: ****Monday QOTD****

1) There is some drama going on in my extended family and I would be totally embarrassed if anything was brought up or said at my wedding. I would expect everyone to be on their best behavior but who knows. Also I am actually really worried about my FH getting too drunk at the wedding. My brothers always seem to like to encourage him to drink a lot when they are around. At my brother's wedding my FH was so drunk he was rolling down the golf course!

2) One time I had to call out of work because I ate too much ice cream and my stomach was in so much pain. I am slightly lactose intolerant. It doesn't always bother me but other times it's really bad.

I also worry about people getting 'too drunk' at my wedding. I don't care about if people get silly, but I really don't want anyone falling over or throwing up.

I've never had a crazy story about calling into work! I got a flat tire once in the morning, but I was still able to make it- just an hour late.

Ugh! I went to a wedding two years ago and the groom had veryyyyyyyy 'fun' friends.. Three of them ended up throwing up.. RIGHT ON THE TABLE! Not even in the bathroom! Gross!

Ugh! My FH's goddaughter is 10, and acts like she's 4. We had our engagement party this weekend and she was so obnoxious. She would interupt people's conversations (even people she had never met), she demanded my attention several times, throwing a temper tantrum when I asked her to wait a minute and then told her parents I was being mean to her. I'm not worried about my 4 and 5 year old nieces, but her, I'm worried about either embarrasing me with her antics or just driving me insane.

NWR: What is the craziest excuse you have given to your job to call out sick?

Now, I usually just give the generic, 'Not coming in, not feeling well'. That way it's a short conversation and you don't have to get too involved. I'm sure back when I was younger I gave some silly excuses.

I'm worried about my father. He is so sarcastic and anti-social. IF he does not like something he will make it known either by saying something (he does not care who he is talking to he will voice his opinion) or by making a disgusted face. He did it at my e-party because he said the food was not good. Also at my e-party FH, my mom, FH's parents and myself made a little speech or just said thank to everyone for coming. He was asked if he wanted to say something and he said nothing. ugh!!!!
I will see my mom can speak to him to make sure he is on his best behavior because I refuse to let him ruin my wedding day. I will make sure I stay away from him just in case

I haven't given a crazy excuse when I call out of work. I usually just say I have a headache or I'm not feeling well.

NWR: I can't think of anything crazy, not in recent history. I'm sure I probably made up some good stories when I was a teenager though.

WR: I'm very thankful that I don't know have to worry about anyone doing anything that might be embarrassing to them or ourselves. FH might be worried about a person or two. I told him we should make sure we get it videotaped so we can laugh at it later.

The only two people that I am worried about at my wedding is one of my BMs and FH's cousin. They recently ended their 7 year dating relationship and they are two of the most immature adults I know. I already told my BM that she's not getting a plus 1 and I'm not planning to give FH's cousin a plus 1. I don't want any unnecessary drama.
