how is everyone saving for their wedding? im just so stressed because of all the money i have to save. with getting furniture and everything it seems almost impossible to save all that money in a year and a half.

Re: money
I was put on a budget lol
His 'RING' fund turned into our 'WEDDING' fund and FH is a great saver so it's not hard for him.. and I even put in a couple extra hours a week which is DEF a bonus.. better than a second job..
and we don't go out at all.. very strict budget.. we cut back on alot of things.. ie, shopping, going out.. going out to dinner.. stuff like that..

Re: money
We cut back on everything that wasn't necessary. Actually, for the first time in about two years, I bought some clothes last night and only because there was a sale since it's been two years, I desperately needed some new things.
FH had the house downpayment fund and I have the wedding fund. I just had my bank take a certain amount from my checkings and put it automatically into my savings twice a month, or after each pay check really. I don't touch that money unless it's wedding related and sometimes not even then.
Also, any extra cash we get goes in the 'fund'. Our taxes will go in the fund when we get them back. And with the house (which we have since bought) we had to get a new roof a month after we closed, so the money we got back from escrow for the cost of the roof went right into the 'fund'. Any cash from our engagement party and then most recently the bridal shower went into the 'fund' too.
It's tough, esp since we want to do stuff like go out to eat or go on vacation, but we have to be disciplined. As soon as the wedding is paid for, we can then go back to doing fun things that just happen to cost money too.
I also recommend creating a spreadsheet budget for yourself. It helps you to see where you are in your planning and what you can REALLY spend...
fifure out how much money you will need...then divide it by the months you have remaining...
make a payment to your savings accoutn EVERY month...like rent...better yet...ask your employer or bank if they can split your paycheck to go into savings...
if this does not seem feesible...you may want to get a loan...many girls advise against this...you don't want to statr a marriage off in debt...but its a possibility
