i don't need to beat a dead horse here... the economy is bad, FH is basically supporting both of us right now, i have no FT job. wedding bills are coming fast and furious... you all know how it is! etc etc etc.
well, it's time to look for wedding rings. i'm desperate to find a place that has acceptable quality, but will not be ridiculous. how is jarod?? we're going to go there tonight after the gym... i'm just wondering if this is a good place? does anyone know? we simply can't afford thousands on rings. but i'm so sad to think i'll have to buy him a crappy ring, and he is too. is jarod a good place to look? anyone have good/bad stories to share? i'm seriously desperate for help here!! TIA girls!!

Try Tri-county, on the 2nd floor theres a bunch of jewelers. Turkan is good there, and prices are good too. They also will work with you on the price, you can ask them whats the best they can do for you.

Re: money woes = no ring???
we got both of our wedding bands and my e-ring through bluenile.com. the prices are reasonable and the quality if exceptional. i know it's weird ordering rings you've never seen in person but the site shows you tons of pics and they have fantastic customer service if you have any questions. plus, they are very flexible with exchanges. good luck!

Re: money woes = no ring???
if things are bad for you right now why even bother getting a band that costs too much. online you can find bands for $25 (plain silver) for now. I just remember at the end of our last few days we def spent money on some things that were not expected so to save $ on a ring until you want to upgrade (diamonds etc) is a good thing.

We bought ours at Busy Bee in Massepequa. FH & Mine together were about $800. Mine is white gold and diamonds and his was White gold band. Def shop around cause I was going to settle for a plain band and for jsut a bit more I got one to match my ering

Re: money woes = no ring???
honestly, i would suggest going right to Bowery St, (downtown) my family friend (who is a vendor on here) owns a booth there and he prices cant be beat. shes a wholesaler so by going to her you cut out all the middle men. if you go to a jeweler in a flea market or a store, chances are they get their jewelry from her or someone near her anyway. you will definitely get the most for your money there.
I got mine on Amazon.com through Reeds Jewelers. I got a .25 caret diamond white gold band. it was on sale and i got it over Thankgsgiving weekend and they had discounts. Mine came to $89.00 and FH was $199.00. They are beautiful and great quatlity. Later on maybe we will upgrade our rings. Pics are in my album.
