I was told that Monica's Bridal in brooklyn copies designer dresses for half the price?! Does anyone know if this is true? For example is you love a 3,000 dollar dress and you bring them a picture and they make it for you there, will it really be half the price?

I'm not so sure about if you are having a dress made from scratch but I do know that they have a great prices. I purchased my dress from their and they gave us the best deal out of every salon I asked.

Not sure about Jim Hjelm (you can call and ask). I actually went to Monica's because they were the only salon that carried the sample of my dress (a San Patrick). I know they also carry Pronovias and La Sposa.
