Monitors/Diaper Genie Recommendations - starting my registry!
Would you recommend your monitor? Also, someone from work told me her diaper genie started to smell after only a short time - is there a better one out there? Thanks!

I like our monitor, its the Fisher Price 900 mhz long range.
As for the dirty diapers keepers, I cannot recommend one. I put smelly diapers either in a Diaper Sack or supermarket produce bag and put them in the garbage, which usually goes out at night. I never have an odor. I just can't bring myself to save them

I had a diaper genie. It was fine in the beginning but as the baby gets older and the diapers get smellier, not so great. I've heard good things about the Diaper Champ (I think that's what it's called) but never had one so can't say from experience.
I found it easier to just take them outside to the garbage right away.

I had the same Fisher price monitors except it is with the dual receivers. They work great... even outside. We also have the Diaper Champ. It's so much better than the Genie. You can use your own garbage bags too!

We have the 'Safe Glow' 2 receiver/monitor set by Safety 1st. The sound quality and range are really good. Also, I like that the monitor is also a light that you can click on and it automatically shuts off in 15 minutes. Its great lighting for a quick diaper change in the middle of the night or for when you peek into baby's room to check on them.

i have the diaper champ. that one that onlt babyrus sells and the trick to it is that you have to buy bags wit scent on it but i usually change it every three days.

Ditto to everything. We do the same with the dirty diapers and have teh same monitor!!

My monitor stunk so I cant help you. i dont even remember what type it was..
I had the diaper genie and while it worked well.. I was lazy.. Then when I emptied it - I had to carry 50 lbs of a sausage like thing filled with poopie diapers and that was HORRIBLE!! Next time Im just going to save plastic bags from the grocery store to tie it in and then throw the garbage out daily..
