Monogram Cake Topper

What is the appropiate size letter height for a 4 or 5 tier cake?

5' or 6' ? the spikes are not included in the measurements just the letter

Does anyone know?

I want to say it depends on how large the top tier is.

They're not all standard size? I would say no taller than maybe a tier or tier and a half.
