monogram help

I have managed to create a monogram using these directions

To design your monogram in Microsoft Word: Choose Insert -> Textbox. Type and format the letter the way you like it. Do this three times. Now click on all textboxes and choose Format->Textbox. Choose Color: No Fill (so you can overlap letters) and Line: No Line. Select all letters, right click, and choose Group to lock in the arrangement. You can now copy your image into Microsoft Paint and save in several formats, such as JPEG.

I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE PART ABOUT SELECT ALL LETTERS, RIGHT CLICK, AND CHOOSE GROUP TOLOCK IN THE ARRANGEMENT.

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND CANT SEEM TO GET IT. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP

Re: monogram help

let me try to help.

have you been able to place them where you want them in relation to one another?

ex: L
H
J

these are my 'letters'. i make the H bigger than the other two. and i 'overlap' the textboxes just enough to space them how i want them.

is this where you need help?

if it's in the 'grouping'. what you need to do is click on the 'L', while it's 'highlighted' hold down the shift key and select the 'H' with your mouse. both, should then be 'highlighted'. again, hold down the shift key and click on the 'J'.

at this point all three letters should be 'highlighted'. this is when you go to the 'draw' toolbar, click on the word 'DRAW', then click on 'GROUP'.

if this doesn't work, fm me. i should be online most of this evening
