Monogram question

I was thinking of getting a monogram stamp made for embossing. Who's inital comes first? What order should it be in?
JTC
or
CTJ

Mine is MMD

First M -- my first name initial
Second M -- my new last name initial (so DH last name initial)

D -- DH first name

We actually used this mongram on our wedding invitations and all paper items fro the wedding.
