Hey, I bumped it for you on the DIY page... I was trying to do it, but I can't make a monogram for the life of me!!! I have no idea what to do, even though those directions sound so easy... How do you make a letter in the background? Anybody know?

There is a template on the DIY board.
Paddysgirl15 just did them and she is showing them on the 07 board. She also linked the thread that has directions. HTH

I made mine on word-- but couldnt save it as a jpeg (but I am on a MAC)
do insert text box make a super big letter by changing the font size\ then dbleclick the text box and there is a bunch of tabs that come up..i think it is layout then pick behind the text
then insert another text box and put like your name and date
then you can move the names over the monogram

ps it was a pain in the arse but once you get the hang of it it isnt too bad just alot of fiddling

my problem isn't doing the actual monogram (mainly cause I haven't started formatting one yet) but finding a font that I like. my future last initial is going to be 'I'
Anyone know of any nice, pretty scripty looking fonts that make a captial 'I' look fancy?

You can do some amazing stuff with Photoshop, Photo Elements, Paint Shop Pro or some good photo editor. You just need to use layers. Simple to do if you play around abit with the program, you can do so much with these programs.
Powerpoint and the other word programs' good but you definitely don't get as a good a quality when you want to print the monograms...
