Montauk

Thinking of taking fh to montauk in august for our 6 yr anniversary- any suggestions On where to stay?

If you want something on the upscale side, check out Montauk Yacht Club - but its not onthe beach. For something on the beach (but not as nice) look into the Royal Atlantic

We stayed at the Monatuk Manor last 4th of July and it was nice!

Oh yeah - there is a little town area to walk for a few blocks... i dont know about the royal atlantic.

Yes cute town to walk around....you MUST eat at Harvest! Make sure you have a reservation....FH and I love it there , the food is SOOO GOOD!

The Royal Atlantic is within walking distance of the town. Also, you have to go to The Montauket for drinks at sundown - its got the most amazing sunset views!!! (get there a little earlier - it gets packed on beautiful evenings)

Was in Montauk this past week. If I had to stay again I would definitely stay at the Montauk Manor!

If you go definitely go eat at
- Navy Beach
- Harvest
- East by Northeast

I can't advise on hotels because I always camp at Hither Hills! Right on the beach and 5 min drive from town.

I can second the recommendations of the Harvest and Montauket!!

FH and I stay at the Ocean Beach every year. Its right on the water and we request an upper room with a view of the ocean. We love sitting on our balcony at night listening to the ocean. Town is right there and we love walking to all the restaurants. I'm actually so upset that FH and I won't be able to go this summer.

I did :)...No my FH surprised me with a trip to Montauk and it just happened to be when they had the wedding...so we got to hang out with them for part of the trip. You must be so excited for your E-Party...It really makes you feel like wow this is happening. Your are going to have soo much fun!

If you like horseback riding, check out Deep Hollow Ranch and do the sunset ride. They bring you through the woods to the highest point in Montauk and you have a panoramic view and then you ride down along the beach. So romantic!!!
