Montauk/Hamptons wedding?

Montauk/Hamptons wedding?

One of my Bm's just got engaged this past week, and she is trying to plan a wedding for next year. Her first choice is to bring people to the Atlantis in the Bahamas for a small wedding (40 ppl) She will either pay for airfare or hotel. But she wants a back up plan just in case this doesn't work. I suggested out east. She thought the idea sounded great. Are there any places that you would recommend for the ceremony and small reception??
I thought of Gerny's (Spelled wrong) Is that place too big? Are there any other places??
On another note, it was fun helping her do all of this, it was worry-free because its not my wedding

HI.. I am not that much of a help but I think that Gurney's will prob. be too big. I'm not definite but I think so. In Montauk, she may want to try the Yaght Club. If she stays furher west there are some really nice restaurants that have private rooms that may caterer to her needs more. I think that a catering hall for 40 would be too big. I know of some places in SOuth hampton that may be good and there is also the northfork which would totally have places for her to!
