More Breast Reduction info.........

For anyone interested.........
There is a new way they do it that may be an option if your breasts are big, but firm enough....
They will Liposuction them instead of cutting you all up, and that will decrease the damage made to breastfeeding.

As I find out more, I'll post

Re: More Breast Reduction info.........

I found out something yesterday too that I wanted to share.
As some of you know, I went to see a surgeon a few weeks back and he told me that my insurance would not pay for it. I spoke to my regular dr. yesterday and this is what you need to do: You need to document EVERYTHING and EVERYONE you speak to (on a professional basis of course) about getting a reduction. Insurance companies apparently want you to try every method of helping your back problems, etc. before getting surgery. So, speak to your primary care dr. and make sure they write down what you're speaking about. Also, go to a chiropractor and have them document the back pain, rashes, etc. You'll need this info to submit to your insurance company!

Thank you Leelee
I think my having Scoliosis will increase my insurance chances, I hope.

Stacey I will def. kepp you all posted. My sis is looking up specialist for me.

She said it's very improtant to get a BREAST surgeon, not just a plastic surgeon, the BREAST one only does for boobies and will know all the latest techniques and have the most experience.

WOW, so much in common.
Did you wear a brace?
I wore it for 2 high school years
So glad it's over.

Re: More Breast Reduction info.........

Hey Liz!!
I never wore a brace..they caught it kind of late for me. I grew really really fast! I was 5'8' by the time I was 11 years old and they told me my only option was surgery at that point.
I don't envy you for wearing a brace!

You had the surgery?
How was it?
Mine wasn't enough they said to get it.
The brace was painful and embarrasing
I used to wear very loose clothing so no one could tell.
When I stopped wearing it, they all thought I lost weight
Only a few ppl knew, or at least let on that they knew

Re: More Breast Reduction info.........

Nope..never got the surgery! I decided it would be easier to live with it then have someone mess around with my spinal cord. Of course, all the back pain makes me second guess my decision sometimes!
