More checks on the checklist ~ Vendor Raves!

This weekend we got 3 big things done:

1- Finalized menu with Venetian Yacht Club

They are fabulous. I have 3 pretty serious food allergies in my family and they are very understanding. Put it in my contact and even threw in an extra small cake for my father who has Siliac Disease and cannot eat any wheat product.

2 - Chose our cake with Tom at Audrey's Fine Baked Goods

Again, simply amazing. Tom was so nice. Easy to talk to, bounce ideas off of and came up with what I think will just be a perfect cake. (Hazelnut flaovred cake with white chocolate mouse filling). He is going to decorate it like the picture I had from another wedding for minimal extra $ and will even decorate my Dad's cake to match =)

3 - Took my dress to Phyllis at Bridal Elegance for alterations.
Of course, you ladies are always right and she was just perfect. I was running late and called to let her know and she was so sweet about it. I had to wait a little bit but I showed up at someone else's time and she stayed late to help me. LOVE HER!!!

Did you buy your dress from Phyllis? I did and it is in, and I just want to know if I should take it home with me until I need to go for alterations.

I didn't buy it from her but I've heard that she holds dresses for other girls till their wedding day.

You should call her and ask. She is always available (I called her at 9 on Friday and she was still there) and very easy to talk to!

Yea I love her. We bought my dress from her, my mothers dress, and my BM's dresses from her. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience so far! I wasn't sure if I was supposed to take my dress home though. But I would rather her hold onto it.
