I thought that the whole sheet comes out sticky? maybe I have this xyron thing wrong

no...the only thing that will be stickey is the back side of what ever you put through the machine.

Is there excess wax paper with sticky stuff that goes to waste?

I am letting myself get sucked in to this xyron thing - Joann's has the 510 on sale for $48.99 and I saw one on ebay for $45.00. Are these good prices?

the way it works is the stick stuff will ONLY be on whatever piece of paper that you put through the machine. the 500 or 510 is about 5 inches wide...so it will take a 5 inch wide piece of paper and put adhesive on it. where the waste comes in is where you have little punch art or small pieces of paper that do not fill up the 5 inch wide space.

When you put a paper through...and its smaller that the say 5 inches...the area around your paper will have the feel of wax paper...no adhesive on it...and you would just peel that off and the paper would now be sticky!

I'm so torn...I just bought 3M double sided tape (I was in a pinch) and I am liking it...

it says its photo safe...can I believe them?
