More donation information!!
Just wanted to share - my fiance and I dropped a ton of stuff off that we picked up from Costco (water, snacks, socks, t-shirts, Gatorade) to Gateway Computer Country Store, on Glen Cove Road, in Carle Place. This store, and the other locations on LI are accepting donations on behalf of the Red Cross. (To find out the other locations, you can check news12.com`s website - go to LI, then how you can help)
I only found out AFTER I left Costco that if you tell the cashier that your purchases are for the rescue volunteers, you`ll get a discount.
I also heard that with the rain coming, rain coats are also needed now.
With everything that`s happened, it`s a great feeling to know we were able to help in a small way.
