More Drama (brother coming or not coming) vent
As if I needed more drama
(for those who dont know it was once thought my brother wouldnt come. He said so 2 days after I got engaged - Thats right a full year and a half before the wedding and he was already saying he wouldnt come. Since then my father has convinced me I really want my brother there. But since my brother can't afford to fly up he'll have to travel with my father. Since my SIL hates my mother (who doesnt) that means my nephew can't come)
OK, so I have all these American Miles that I’m not going to use since going to Disney is so cheap. So my bright mind says “give it to your brother to fly over early”. He was planning on riding up with my Dad/Mom & 3 siblings. So it would have been a 6 person ride for 2 days coming and going back.
I call my dad first to run it by him, see what he thinks.. I’m a Daddy’s Girl. Dad thinks it’s great. So I call up my brother and he’s happy as heck. Therefore I am happy. We are ALL Happy!!
And then…
“That’s awesome, Ron. While you’re at it can you check on getting something for Ang & Ian?” (My SIL & nephew). ME: “uh, sure”
Honestly, Uh.. NO! Crap hell dang it! I can’t afford to pay for them to fly up. If I could then I would have to begin with. The only reason I offered my brother the ticket was that it was free. So now Im stuck. My nephew is 4 so he’s not an ‘infant’. Roundtrip from Omaha to NYC is around $360. Times 2!!!!
I really want my nephew there because only he and he alone can be my ringbearer if I were to have one. So now I feel like crap.
I just called my Dad and was sorta like whining “Dad, Oscar said I had to bring his wife and kid and I can’t afford that”. Im so bummed out now. My Dad has promised to talk to my brother. I just hope my brother doesnt think I mean I dont want him to come or that I dont want his wife and child I just can't AFFORD it!
Man try to do something good and look what happens!!! I should have flown my MOH up for free instead.
ETA:
I feel sorta childish for complaining to my Dad and i feel corned cause i WANT them there. Bah!
