so the meeting with golden moments was great...dan and pat have amazing personalities and their work comes to me highly recommended from my friend who had gorgeous pictures...they do photo and cinematography...i think i still like bilski better for video though...i would love to use them for photo, but he cut me the best deal if i book both (even though his best deal is still 1K over what i reallllly wanted to spend)...also if i did both packages, he was going to throw in the engagement shoot which is normally 500...the thing with his e-shoots though are that you have a choice of two places close to the studio to go...FH and i really wanted to go to the hamptons in august for the hampton classic and to go out there he wants another 500...so if i book both packages he'll waive the e-shoot fee and i just pay the location fee...buuuut i'm afraid if i don't book photo, e-shoot pics may cost another 1K...his price for the 'all inclusive' package is already 3995...
i'm meeting with memento and lighthouse tomorrow...

Glad your meeting went well! I have nothing but great things to say about Lighthouse. And if you go with Lighthouse and Bilski we can be photo/video twins. lol

Lighthouse does amazing work. My brother is booked with him and I just met with him Thursday. I'm going Monday to sign our contract!

I loved John Bilski when I met with him!! FH and I are still holding out for a while with video, but he's definitely in my #1 slot at the moment! Good luck
soo i met with lighthouse...they really are the most professional and accomodating studio we've met with thus far...you just have so many options and you can be as little or as much involved with design as you wish...however, i felt like a lot of their pictures didn't have as much creativity with the shots as i would have liked...the color, vibrance and sharpness is unmatched with their flash photography (versus available light), but in some pictures i almost felt like it looked fake it was so bright...FH really loved them, i just don't feel sold yet...memento was also very nice...i felt a little rushed because we were running late and there was someone meeting with them after us...so when FH walked out he was like i didn't like the design in the book and i couldn't even remember what i had just seen!! i know i love their pictures online, but i feel like i might need to go back...plus i met with the secretary, not the photographer, so i def have to go back...
the other thing i liked about lighthouse so far is the fact that ur engagement shoot can be anywhere...so far everyone we met with requires you go local to their studio or pay a fee anywhere from 250 to 500 and FH and I would really like to go to the hamptons...

I thought pretty much the same thing when I met with Lighthouse...the pics are beautiful but I left there thinking that with all the touch ups and stuff that they do with the pics I might have a bunch of wedding photos that don't even look like me...lol...but I did like all the different albums that they offer.

yea and i like the fact that they do digital editing for like phone towers and wires/lines...i just was looking for photos that were more illustrative and creative with poses...the colors are great but i felt it was overboard sometimes...
it just sucks because i really want to do cinematography and it's pricey especially when all the photo packages i love are between 4K and 4500...i'm looking at like 7500 for photo and video
i just emailed him what i was looking for...we'll see how his prices are!

finally spoke with alan at deja vu...sounds like a really nice guy and i set up a meeting with him although his initial quote is about 1K more then i was looking spend...reason being is that he said he may be more flexible with the price so why not right? i also recently looked at si*lv*er*fo*xes webpage and to be honest i sort of poo-poo'd even looking because they do like limos, dj, photo, video...i figured their stuff would be mill-like looking...and their website pictures were actually pretty nice and seems to be the style i am looking for...i just emailed them for a quote..
does anyone have a quote for them yet?

wow- i was DEF not expecting si*lv*er*fox to come in as expensive as they did for photography quote only... they just emailed me back...
yes and i actually spoke to him on the phone..he is very nice but his quote for me was more then what i was looking to spend...i think he told me 6 ( i can't remember, i wrote it down at home)...

What are you looking for again? We are only having 1 photographer so we saved approx $1k that way. We also are going to order the album after the wedding. His albums are amazing though. You should go in and meet him, he doesn't pressure you...and you can take at look at the Chelsea Mansion.
We got our engagement pics back in 3 days which was amazing. Wedding pics he said 2 weeks.
