How many minutes is your first dance song?

Are you dancing to the whole thing just the two of you? Or inviting other couple out onto the dance floor to join you?

ours is about 3.5 minutes long.

our photographer suggested that we dance to it alone so he can get really nice photos of us, and then have a 2nd 'first' song that parents and friends can dance to...that way he can have more time to take photos of the others dancing

Now a lot of ppl do the first dance ALONE and then do a 'good luck' dance following where everyone dances......What are you girls doing?

My first dance song is 5 minutes and 40 seconds long. I am going to see if the DJ can shorten it, but I also don't want to ruin the song. I really just want to dance alone with FH, but I don't want people to just have to stare at us for 6 minutes straight either..lol

And if I have the bridal party join us, it might be hard because my sister (MOH) is married, and her hubby is in the wedding party, but not the best man. So does she dance with her DH or the best man? And then I have both of FH's brothers as best men, and only one MOH, and one of his brothers girlfriends is a BM, so does she dance with him??

I'm so confused

Ours is just under 4 minutes. The DJ is going to invite everyone to gather around the dance floor for the first dance, so everyone is standing when, 3 minutes in, he'll invite everyone to join in. Then, with everyone already up and dancing along, he'll play a crowd-pleaser (Jackson 5 or something everyone would like) and the party will start right there! I saw this at a wedding last year and it was awesome - since all 200 people were around the dance floor for the first dance, EVERYONE joined in and started dancing and it really started the party off right.

our dance was bout 4 minutes and we didnt invite anyone onto the dance floor, thins is out time to shine
