I think with patience you could definitely do it...
Misha...do you buy your paper? or just cut 12' paper into strips?

Re: More Quilling
I have a lot of the pre-cut quill strips but I have cut them every now and then when I need a specific color. I just use the fiskars cutter and make them about 1/8 inch wide.
ok...b/c I thought they had to be 18' long...good to know

No, they can be 12'' long. And then depending on how big you want the quill to be, you can cut into 3', 4', 6', etc... They do make 18' ones but for most designs, that is not necessary. Good luck!
I tried to make one flower with the 12'...way too big...so I cut it down to 6'...I still feel like it is too big...
not sure I have the patience

Re: More Quilling
I have found that I only do well with the quilling pieces when I know the size I am 'supposed' to be using--- I too get frustrated on experimenting and then not being happy with the end result
